Your controls were probably reversed because when divers are extremely low on oxygen they do infact loose their senses of direction. (Also hallucinate, accidentally hit their own face, hear voices, etc.) Truly a terrifying profession.

Submechanophobia was a niche hyperfixation of mine a while ago where despite not having it at all, all i would watch for months was videos about specifically submechanophobia. I have thlyasaphoboia(I cant remember how to spell it) super bad where being in any body of water slightly unsetles me and i refuse to go in biger or "foggy" open bodies of water period. So this was very fun experience for me

I have submechanophobia, for me this game didn't really trigger it (apart from the structures and satellites) I'm just afraid of things like buoys, boat propellers, the underwater parts of bridges, and most underwater or water related mechanical things.

Hey Big Gaming, long time viewer first time commenter. Sometimes I get caught up with life and stuff and don’t tune in to your vids for a while then end up binge watching a bunch of them. I did that not too long ago and on one of the vids (the long hallway one I think) you said something about making a long term commitment for the better. Well I just thought it would be cool to say that I actually committed to a daily, full-body workout regimen for the whole month of November. I strictly followed it without missing a single day all month. I feel better, look better, and my girlfriend is proud too. It’s now December 6th and I’m still going strong so I think I’ll do it for another month! Wow wow wow. How’s that for a physical commitment? Long comment I know, but just thought I’d share. It’s funny for videos that can be so creepy and sometimes downright terrifying for the creator of said videos to be such a warm, positive person. It’s awesome honestly. Keep gaming brother!

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m getting SCP and Backroom vibes. I say SCP because the first part reminds me of SCP-087, where you have to descend down a staircase. The game’s intro was a little bit like that, but underwater. And Backrooms, because you explored a strange and desolate area with the fear of unknown lingering. That’s just my take, though!

Funny thing is that warning sign is very similar to a sign that is on a cave diving hole in real life due to the amount of deaths incurred even by professional divers who get lost and tricked in it. Sadly its not made of flesh inside though. EVENTUALLY they even had to gate the hole because people weren't heeding the sign lol.
