Golf Torrequebrada opened its doors in 1976 and was designed by José Gancedo, also known as the "Picasso of golf."
This 18-hole course is a true test for players of all types, regardless of handicap. It features a varied fairway design, large and undulating greens, strategically placed water hazards, and bunkers. The hundreds of trees adorning the fairways offer a fantastic vegetation. It is thanks to the varied and wonderful design, where no hole is like any other, that playing a round at Golf Torrequebrada becomes a real challenge where all clubs in the bag come into play.
In 1979, the European Tour's Spanish Open was held at Golf Torrequebrada, and those who experienced this event have a lot to tell. The most popular story revolves around Seve Ballesteros and his eight strokes on hole 8, leading to his missing the cut. Another tale involves a young promising player who worked at the range with his brother and later became a tour professional, Miguel Angel Jimenez.
According to many, the panoramic view from the clubhouse terrace overlooking hole 18 and the Mediterranean coast is the best. Don't miss it!
Golf Torrequebrada is excellently situated between the sea and the mountains on the Costa del Sol, about 20 minutes from Malaga Airport. The beach and marina are just minutes away. In addition to other tourist activities for all ages, the municipality of Benalmádena offers a wide range of hotels and nightlife.
Here are some examples of what has been said on social media recently about the course: "Absolutely fantastic course in superb condition", "Beautiful course and a nice test. Made the holiday" and "Magically pleasant golf course”.
