We've been all over Utah and LOVE IT ... This area is our favorite by a landslide... heading back in May for our 3rd time.

Torrey was founded by my great grandfather and my mother was born in what is now a lot across from the school. She was raised on the ranch the family still ones, 4 miles south. I know where those glyphs are, near our ranch. Been there 4 times. My favorite is the Walking Easter Egg. Most historic name is A. K. Thurber, who was called to start the town by the Mormon Church. It later became Bicknell. Torrey is "my 2nd home." Been going there for over 40 years, even though I was born, raised and live in CT. I did live in Richfield for over 2 years, so every weekend I was down in Torrey, the Ranch and the park. I have literally been to Capitol Reef over 1000 times. One of my favorite places in the U.S.

Been 6 years since we were traveling around Utah. Loved Highway 12 and incredible scenery as well as wonderful hikes. Hoping to get back there in the near future (from Australia) with a 4WD this time round. In the meantime, I’m watching some great You Tube videos and planning the next adventure in my favorite spot on the planet.

Where is the area at the very end of the video with all the switchbacks? I tried looking at the Poison Springs Road and did not see any switchbacks or a deep canyon on that route.

Teasdale, a little town 3 miles to the southwest is terrible! Please nobody ever go there, and if you know anybody who is buying up all the surrounding land, convince them to leave!
