We have often talked about Truth at Unity Rochester Spiritual Center. I’ve mentioned it numerous times in various lessons. So, my question now is, “Got it??”
If you needed to define your Truth to another, how would you word it?
If you were to feel your Truth within, what would it feel like?
If you were to put your Truth into action, what might it look like?
Truth be said, Truth in action might look, sound and feel differently at different times to different people. Yet, the definition would never change. Your wording might be different than mine, but the truth of Truth must always remain the same in order for it to be the Truth!
During my lesson on Sunday, I will present another set of questions to you. And in my teacher-format, I will likely ask you to write it out on one of the spiral notebooks found under the seat in front of you.
“Why write it out?” you might ask. Because by contemplating and then putting the words to paper, the process gives you the opportunity to experience your thought process. It’s all part of the learning cycle.
Keep in mind that Unity is about learning, clarifying, asking higher-level questions, and having the willingness to challenge one’s own thoughts and beliefs. The faith of Unity is not a passive, sit-in-you-seat and listen belief system. Unity leaders and learners have the charge to challenge our thinking and the willingness to discuss our thoughts with others for the purpose of clarifying our beliefs. We need also have the willingness to listen to other’s points of view. That’s called a higher-level form of learning. Simply ask Socrates!
I look forward to our time together once again as we challenge our thoughts and clarify the ways in which we “live the Truth we know.”
Blessings,
