Hi doc, amazing work! I would seriously fly from the Netherlands to come see you and have this micro lipo done. I’m a woman in her 30s and even though I’m slender, I have a ‘lot’ (not extreme) of fat in my lower face/jowls cheeks. I pulls my face down and makes my once rounded/v shaped face look SQUARE now. But no doctor knows how to get rid of this fat. They only lipo the jawline underneeth and throat. This makes me hopeful! You seem to be ahead of most plastic surgeons! Fantastic.

Isn’t there a risk of hitting the mandibular nerve? My surgeon advised me against Jowl lipo because of this risk.

Absolutely a risk. Fortunately, in the vast majority of cases the nerve is injured, not severed. This means nerve recovery is the rule, not the exception though it can take months to normalize. Fortunately, nerve injuries are rare but definitely possible.

Thanks for commenting. Shes only a week out but I'll update with results in a month or so. Kybella may be an option for jowls when surgery is not available. We offer it too, but patients often choose surgery because Kybella is in the same price range for the 2-3 treatments required.

This is a super informative video!! Are patients allowed to opt to be “put under” while undergoing these treatments? I’d love to look further into having this done but I have extreme anxiety about even going to the dentist. I am able to handle lip filler and Botox but I don’t know if I could make it through this awake.

Accutite longevity is not measurable and has not been around long enough to assign an expiry date to it. In my experience it aids liposuction of small fat pockets nicely by reducing bruising and swelling, and possibly tightening the skin. Deep plane facelift is a far more versatile tool for the appropriate patient.

Its very subjective. One of the biggest challenges of my job to make sure I understand the patients individual goals and desires. In this case, our patient sought a slimmer lower face and more defined jawline.

I have an overbite I will be receiving jaw surgery most likely this summer in California. I have a week chin and jaw so I will be Receiving genioplasty, and mandibular advancement and possibly a septoplasty or if not septoplasty a nose job a year after.
