Best analogy to explain why you need to know some concepts of music theory: Even a quack or a compounder can give you an IV injection. But only a trained doctor would know what the drug does, what the complications are and what to do if things go wrong. Guitar playing is not simply monkey see monkey do. Analysing why you're doing something with a technique improves your playing and make you a better guitar player.

It's been just a month of me playing guitar and i felt something is missing. I have been doing photography for 3 years and as there are color and light theories in photography too I felt there is something called music theory too.
