Thank you for the thought review! I love my fore devices. Still using the Luna 2, but the FOREO 2 was such a good addition to my device collection. I dont love all of the masks its supposed to be used with but its such a versatile tool, after a long day its so great to sit for 20 min and massage my face and shoulders. I occasionally use it with a serum on my legs too after a workout! Was definitely worth it for me and I've never had any of the app issues I've heard about from others.

I've been using my Luna 2 for years and years now and it still works perfectly! I was afraid you'd have to use the Luna 4 with just your phone but if it (after choosing the settings) can be used without the phone on a daily basis.... then it may be time for me to upgrade!

Actually, Foreo Luna 3 also has different massage routines , I can also adjust pulsations. Maybe there is a difference in bristles but it is not a reason to change the whole device (imho). Still thank you for your review.

Yes. The program shall remain the way you set it. So you don't need to have your phone with you.

I have a Luna from the first generation. I used it for 8 years every day now and still works fine. Quality is really good. However, I would not upgrade to a newer version. The differences are not so important for me.

I hate the fact that these latest versions of the foreo have to be connected to an app to use them. Why can't all these features be by a push of a button on the device itself? If I want to change a setting, then I have to do it via the phone. It's pretty horrible design choice. Who's going to be bring the phone to the shower and then pick it up in their middle of them washing their face and or in the shower? Suppose I want to change the speed of the pulsations for my forehead, then is Foreo expecting me to pick up my phone and change the setting in the middle of my washing routine? Rubbish! Their older models were better when they didn't have this app connection nonsense come in.

It works without the app. The app is just for you to change the settings but, once, you changed the settings, you can use it without the app.

I have been using my Luna 2 for almost 6 years. Once I had found the fitting setting for my skin, I don’t change the settings at all. So I don’t see how this would be a problem

Been using the Foreo Luna 3 for years. I've tried both the normal (pink) and combination (blue) skin type. Battery life is really good. I only charge it once a year. There was a time I charged it after 6 months but that's it. Interested to upgrade mine to Foreo Luna 4 or the Foreo Luna 4 plus because of the bluetooth on and off function as well as the dedicated buttons for cleansing and massage. I just have one complain about Foreo Luna. Though they advertised the silicon material as being hygienic, I noticed that gunk accumulates at the base of the bristles and this is so disappointing. Even though I have always thoroughly washed the device after using, I didn't expect that something like that could happen and it occurred on both devices I had. Ever since then I stopped applying my cleanser directly on the Foreo and I also stopped using my favorite cleanser because of that. The gunk that accumulated were mostly white hardened powdery stuff and my cleanser at that time is the white foaming type of cleanser that becomes powdery soon after getting dissolved in water. Gel type cleansers are better suited for this device although there is still gunk being formed but it's the clear or yellowish and slimy one this time. When I used a soap for face, white gunk accumulated again. Wish there was a way to completely remove all of these at the same time but it's not something that easily melts even after soaking the device in water (wouldn't want to try other liquid or chemicals that could potentially damage the waterproof charging hole). I had to manually remove it row by row using my nails. Ugh all that work. I hope the silicon on the Luna 4 has improved at least because it seems like with long term use the device gets coated in some shiny soapy residue. I had to scrub off the whole Foreo once just because of that.

Is it worth buying the Luna 4 go for the purpose of traveling as well as buying the foreo 4 standard size? Or do you just prefer bringing your standard size with you while traveling? I'm going away for 6 weeks in Sept so I'm just trying to figure out what would be good travel wise. Also I'm combination skin, however my skin is also sensitive, is the only difference between the combo and sensitive foreo just the type of bristles?

I have the 3 mini and I would say get that one for travel! It’s the perfect size for your face and I feel like any bigger would be annoying. I don’t think it would be worth it to get both
