Thanks for the test, just started 3D Printing and got my first PLU shipment incoming and was already a bit in panic since we got some humidity here - now I feel much more relaxed about it.

Thanks for your comment. Good luck with your 3D printing journey and let me know if I can help in any way.

@@ristinnovations thanks for the kind offer, so far I got the Bambu lab A1 with Ams light but ran out of the 20g PLA quite fast. (seems pretty plug and play so far) maybe collect newbie questions and make a video ~ FAQ style (I tend to respond the same questions already answered inside my videos several times in the comments.... Sometimes that can be a bit exhausting.)

I am about to get my my first 3D printer and I am getting some pla to test but I'm so glad I saw this video to know about humidity because I believe this area I just moved to recently has a lot of humidity.

I do have a question for you though if I wanted to paint one of my 3D sculptures what kind of paint would you recommend?
@ristinnovations21 күн бұрын
@@JedidiahRogers-j4uI recommend that you watch some YT videos from some of the experts in painting 3D prints. There is a lot of prep work if you want to hide the layer lines. I have seen some people use an automotive filler/primer spray that helps because you can sand it smooth. Some people use acrylic paints and others have used automotive paints. I hope this helps as a starting point. Good luck with your 3D printing journey!

Great video! Thanks for sharing the results you found. I just bought a Bambu X1C and transitioning out of pla filament.

Thanks for the information! I was thinking about getting a filament drying box, but I have only recently started 3D printing, and haven't progressed beyond PLA yet. I also live in the UK, where it isn't often too humid (wet, but not humid!) I keep my opened filament in vacuum sealer bags with dessicant, so only ever have one roll out at any time (no AMS on my A1 Mini!) I will just carry on as I am for now!

Hi Paul, In your case it sounds like you have a great system for managing your PLA. If you expand to other materials you may need a filament dryer, but I agree with you that for now you don’t need a dryer. Thanks for your ongoing support of watching my videos😊

PLA and especially silk variations of PLA become brittle when they have absorbed moisture and this can be fixed by drying the spool. I've had extreme examples where the silk PLA filament kept breaking during a single print to the same spool after drying being trouble free.

Hi Steve, you bring up a great point regarding the silk PLA. Thanks for your feedback.

with Nylon you REALLY do... but not really a good dryer on the market... you want around 140c when drying... so i use air dryers or an old convention oven ... then just use dry box with rollers for the life of the filament...

I was analyzing your KZbin channel and I saw your channel. The videos are very beautiful and your channel's subscribers are good but your video SEO score very Low.
