Before French Stewart starred on 3rd Rock, he starred as Lt. Feretti in the Sci-Fi film Stargate (1994). Kind of ironic.

I've been thinking about this. While I agree, I think we may be biased. Our parents mostly hated our generations everything, and we didn't jive with theirs until we got older usually. Currently I don't feel like anything has been as good since the 90's maybe the early oughts, but gen z heavily disagrees. Now we have gen alpha and they disagree with gen z and millenials lol. I think it's the natural order of things. I try and stay receptive to the best things or missed gems from all generations, life's too short to limit oneself eh?

I think what set 3rd rock apart is that it wasn't trying to be weird or do crazy outrageous gags just for the heck of it. All of the humour helped the characters grow as it was almost always based on unintentional misunderstandings and/or not knowing any better, and learning from it. It really played into aliens trying to learn and fit in, instead of just aliens doing weird things and people thinking the aliens are just weird and eccentric.

Only one I've not seen any episodes of was Strangers With Candy, but I knew about it due to commercials from shows dad taped off of Comedy Central. Didn't look like it would appeal to me though. And Nikki Cox, oh yeah, seeing those episodes on tape of Unhappily Ever After, and she was an early girl crush of mine. Even if you lived under a rock back in the 90’s you still would remember the X-Files and 3rd rock from the sun. The X-Files was a great mix of sci-fi, horror, and fantasy. One of my favorite episodes was Redrum, a friend of agent Doggett was caught up in a strange time travel where he had a chance to save his wife. There were no aliens or monsters, just a man trying to save his family. It was one of those rare episodes where the main characters were barely on screen.

I was on the focus group that screened Strangers with Candy before it came out. Everyone there was confused and offended, I was laughing my ass off. Afterwards, the interviewer directed all questions to me. I tried describing the show to people, and I just sounded crazy. It came out on comedy central about a year or 2 later

Nickelodeon was THE SHIZNIT, back in the 90s‼️‼️‼️‼️…and I used to REALLY enjoy the, Married With Children knockoff, Unhappily Ever AFTER. I ADORED Tiffany’s mid-nineties style outfits😍😍😍

I hope they do more of these lists of weird shows from the 1990's, both good and bad. I grew up watching the shows the Secret world of Alex Mack and Unhappily ever after. Good shows for sure.

@TheReviewStudios The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr staring Bruce Campbell was one of my favorites as a kid. I also enjoyed Roc, In Living Color, and Walker: Texas Ranger. As a suggestion, you can also do all the different shows that were on Fox during Friday nights that didn't last very long.

@TheReviewStudios, one weird but very cool kid’s in the mid-90s was ReBoot, about characters who lived inside a computer, in a world called MainFrame. It was one of the very first fully computer animated TV shows, ahead of its time, along with Transformers: Beast Wars…I’m also thinking about how I thought at the time, 97ish, the ultra popular Dragonball Z was, when I first saw commercials for it as a kid. But eventually my curiosity won out and I became a big fan…although these days not really.
