Do you stencil first, then emboss? Or emboss first, then stencil? Which works best?

I loved the stenciled, then embossed panel. Where you thought there were “smudgies” from the ink, I seen more of a painterly, water colour look that added a nice touch of elegance to your card; beautiful🤗

I recently did the same experiment to see which order I preferred. For mine particular set (a floral), I ultimately preferred embossing prior to stenciling. My set also had a die, so that was the very first thing I did.

I love your card! I have been looking for a sentiment about doing good and now thanks to you I have found it! The other one I was looking for was ‘Never give up ‘which I found from Altenew. This is a beauty! I 💚 foliage cards. I found that stamping first then embossing an ALT design on my Christmas cards worked better, too. Thanks for sharing your experiment, Cathy Z.

Thank you for this video. I was preparing to make a card and wasn’t sure if I should stencil then emboss. I ended up embossing first. I haven’t done the stenciling yet. Guess I do as you did and see how it turns out. Judging from yours, I will probably stencil first in the future. BTW, your card is lovely,

Have never bought an EF with a coordinating stencil...but I do like the effect. Will take your word for it that stencil first/then emboss..if I ever have the opportunity! Just can't tell the difference from here... Wish you'd show the sentiment without the shadow and how it looks...for a change. Very lovely CAS card!

I prefer to emboss after I use the stencils as I find it's easier to ink my paper when it's flat.

Don't throw the other panel away....put the stencil back on it and ink blend again. I think you'll be happy with the 'shadow' results. Ask me how I know! LOL Love how the card turned out. Your daughter is going to love it too.
