Thanks so much Rob,, as I cut my line to 35 and approach the center line. I’m thinking oh yeah. But only to be thrown into the buoy with straight line speed and broken at the waist.

Hi Rob thank you for the video on edge change and straight arms👍I am skiing 28 off and then when trying 32 off slack out of one my off side I go from leaning to flat ski then edge change 🙃I will start working on this today!Thank you💦🏄♀️

Awesome video on edge change. Can you take it a little further with which arm should have the load and when to start the reach.

I always get confused here. Some say to keep both arms straight which, if we rotate our hips and upper body across the wake, is not physically possible. Draw it to prove it. If I keep both arms straight, I need to counter rotate to maintain two straight arms. And then someone says maintain back arm pressure through the wakes and past the white wash and ride the line. This does not work with two straight arms. It is physically impossible. I ski much better when I just focus across course with strong back arm pressure and hold it right through the edge change. Thanks Rob for the clarity.

This is where making these videos are tricky. It's about understanding the problem as a whole and finding a key that works for you. For someone who doesn't struggle with bent arms it's probably not something you need to worry about. But for some it may be the most important thing

How would you instruct a beginner slalom course learner to attack the course after say 30 mph at 15 off. In other words once mastering 30 mph , should I start at 22 off or go to 32 mph and so on. Nobody ever talks about this process. I am amazed how quickly young kids can be doing the course these days. Other than technique what is the natural process of advancing down the course.

Hey Gilles, Sorry for the slow reply, I've got some videos planned for the next few weeks but would love to do a video on this! Thanks for the idea, I'll get on it!

I was glad to see this question in the comments. I am also pretty interested from a beginners perspective. Would love to see some more videos about technique in the turns and going from a two handed approach to one hand. I’ve gotten pretty good at two-handed turns, but not sure where to start with dropping one hand.

I am not an expert, but I find the speed increase way harder to achieve than a shorter line. Maybe my age… I just shorten and have fun, but my progress is very very slow.

Don’t really understand. I need arrows and videos of examples while you are talking about it
