It is nice, and well timed throughout, though in my opinion the joke about Number 15 Burger King Foot Lettuce being an overly long segment would have been better done had it not been spoiled by putting the giant block of text there.

@@SpecialInterestShow big block of text is the big funni, sure, but the timing is as important as the joke when it comes to landing one. Breaking format of the subtitles up to then to put up a giant word wall rather than the normal sentence by sentence is a good setup. In this case, it's word for word Number 15 Burger King Foot Lettuce, a reasonably notorious bit. What's the payoff? The pacing of the subtitles would you to now suggest getting interrupted in the middle of the delivery, or abandoning Candace, which indeed happens, but not before leaving this giant slab of syllables blocking half a phone screen for a good while, blocking any visual gags that may have happened. Instead, going through the bit verbatim with no bait and switch feels to me more like just making the viewers suffer. Without the subtitles, the gag works: the joke is about how long the bit goes on for before being cut off somehow. With subtitles, it's obnoxious, has no payoff, and is a missed opportunity to break up the tired bit with a non sequitur, since we all know the bit by now. Seriously, so many of these jokes are like five or six years old, and they're all recycled secondhand edgy 4chan references. Climate change denial, JFK death, small loan of a million dollars, etc. There's so much more that feels could be done with it all, but never happens, and that's my big complaint with it. We like Phineas and Ferb lose interest and wander off, figuratively and/or mentally, and the subtitles following that would really cement the gag, rather than just be subtitling dryer than most fast food burger buns and staling the joke all the quicker for it. Going to the effort of making the subtitles is very nice, though, and I do not mean to discourage it, rather merely request the game be upped; it felt a bit too stale when it came to landing the jokes. This last bit is the most subjective of all for subtitle niggling, but waiting another second to display rickroll.mp4 would have landed the joke better. Whatever, though, still a nice poop. Story: Phineas and Ferb's parents are having a rough patch, a schizm brought on by the contraversial "It's Wednesday, my dudes" meme, so the two brothers decide to try to repair things by getting their mother a present on their father's behalf. Candace advises them that women typically enjoy anal sex, so the two brothers decide to increase their father's propensity for the practice by reversing his sexual orientation; on the basis that homosexuals find vaginal sex unappealing, thus serving as the instigation to seek alternative positions in the bedroom. Evidently, Fineas and Ferb must have watched one too many episodes of Alex Jones in the course of their research into conspiracy theories, as they were under the impression that sexual orientation is not, as medical science has proven, a hardwired facet of neurology, but instead a learned behavioural trait that can be swayed by cultural media: such as memes. Hence, they set out to assemble a rock and roll band consisting of the greatest male sex symbols of the 21st century; in the hopes that seeing them perform would awaken latent desires in their father. The roster of this legendary collective ended up including: lead guitarist and songwriter Marty Robbins, lead vocalist and manager Spamton G. Spamton, and drummer Some Guy who works at a library. Meanwhile, Perry the Platypus gets rickrolled so hard by his boss that he is compelled to physically leave the premises that very moment via rocket-powered escape module out of sheer embarrassment. Now temporarily displaced from his home, and reluctant to face the mean streets, Perry decides to spend the day with his dear friend and colleague Dr. Doofenshmirtz, who so happened at that moment to be preparing for his daughter's birthday party, and so was happy for the extra help. The theme of the party is the hit video game Among Us, the same theme (as it turns out in the climactic scene of the episode) the the annual event has been for the past four years, ever since the game was first released. Doofenshmirtz's daughter obviously cringes at the antiquated cultural relevance of it all, but is more so deeply concerned by her father's continued unwavering obsession with this thing that was mediocre even at its peak. "Do You Wanna Have a Band Time" is considered both popularly and critically to be quite exceptional among mainstream media for its nuanced, thoroughly researched and uncaricatured depiction of meme culture, striking a chord with its young demographic in a way that few cartoons ever hope to. The episode was nominated for sixteen Cartoon Emmys in 2022, winning four. It has a rating of 12/10 on the website Rottonpotatoesinator dot com, far exceeding the mean average episode rating of 8.5/10.

Only incorrect thing in your comment is that the idea of something being medically proven would ever stop Phineas and Ferb anyway. I mean lets be honest if anyone could break the laws of medical science to alter one's sexual preference, it's Phineas and Ferb. They've made a machine that can liquify a human being and can turn said human being back without any noticeable side effects. I don't think they've ever given a single crap what medical science says, they probably could just make a special guitar that turns anyone who hears it swap sexual preferences. Marty Robbins brought his guitar from home, and canonically would sooner karate chop the children's heads off than let them potentially ruin its folksy sound by adding science stuff. It's a problem of approach, not ability. Man, I was just summarizing the episode. The theme song is more of an overview of the series' overall premise, which I had assumed to be common knowledge, but also really deserves it's own separate comment. Not by me, though. The sentence mixing is pretty heavy there, and I'd have to rewatch it a few times to understand more than half the ideas. I did reference the overall vibe with the Alex Jones bit, though.

Bobbi's character arc is so deep. After seeing the wild roller coaster Phineas and Ferb made in order to prove that the Earth is flat in episode 1, he remembers something, but he can't quite make out what. By this episode, he can't contain his curiosity, and upon seeing Phineas and Ferb again, he needs to know where that memory comes from. He asks Fabiana, who has been with him since he joined Love Händel who he is, suspecting that his Bobbi identity is false. Fabiana is forced to admit that he is Spamton. Spamton then tries to revert to his true form and become a [Big Shot] once more, but he can only manage a sad imitation of his once [Number 1 rated salesman 1997] self. Seeing that Spamton cannot go on, Phineas remarks that Ferb has a backup plan and puts Spamton out of his misery.

Hell yea, this was great! The stitches together, "high-quality Rips" style music really did a lot to make the jokes land hard when they landed, kept in tone with the show while, ya know, being a YTP still. Use of both voice stitching and a little bit of AI also helped a lot, way too many people fall on one camp or the other on that, forgetting it's just a tool.
