Went to Japan by myself after recovering from a terrible 2024. Got money stolen from me and caught a virus that affected me for months but still came out with enough money in the bank and enough money to go on a vacation to start 2025 out. Wrote this comment in Japan. Thank you for your content.

Risks are easier to take and recover from when you're still young. And who knows, taking the big jump could uncover new skills and opportunities you never thought of before. I didn't go as exotic as you guys but I left the stable city life, went out to middle america, and found a whole new career out here while living quietly. Whatever you all go for in life, plan well then execute!

Laugh and smile a lot, because who cares about wrinkles? Be smart with big life decisions, but treat yourself with that unexpected bonus. Take the long way home and turn up the radio when you have a bit of time to kill. I always want to remind myself to stay curious about the world as I grow old. The most mundane sense of wonder can be going Wikipedia surfing, where I browse through articles about history, technology, nature, geography, and just about anything random I hear about and want to know more. My actual adventures mostly stem from when I used to ride motorcycles. That way I could get a bit of travel and adrenaline in while still working my day job and playing music on the weekends. Still find time to play Modern Warfare 2 as well!

Good stuff man, i remember when i took a leap of faith, leaving my home for adventure into the unknown. I left my stable job after four years of being there, had everything going for me for a while, but the spark just wasnt there anymore. So i decided to save 20k and hit the road for about a year living in my car. Got to see what most people could ever dream of seeing. No regrets imo. If your thinking of taking a risk i say go for it while you got the chance, worst comes to worst you can always return.

Yeah man this is what I’ve always thought. Life is so much more than just doing the bog standard things you’ve been told to do your entire life. You have to do something out of the ordinary, something memorable that will enrich your life. That’s how you find yourself, find meaning, and find fulfillment.
@Caden553Ай бұрын
Fantastic video once again! I think there are very big pros and cons for both. As you said, its 100% ok to do that IF you have your finances in place. Make sure you have a cushy emergency fund and have a plan to fall back on. One big thing to mention is you don't always need to leave a full time job to get a good adventure. My girlfriend and I are on a 2 week trip up the western coast all the way to Vancouver and I have zero job stress. People also tend to waste 5pm-9pm. Get out there and go do something instead of sitting at home! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Bro you're only 22. Just get out of your comfort zone. I did this by volunteering for noble causes in far away countries. I've been through many perilous situations, and It's a miracle I'm still alive. Of course, you don't have to go to such extremes, my point is to just get out of your comfort zone. The confidence you'll gain will snowball into other areas of your life.

I found myself in a sort of similar scenario after I had twins. Adventure or Safe Life. I was an avid trout fisherman, often going through very remote areas for extended amounts of time. It was a deep passion. I loved every single bit of it, and still do. The engagement with nature was unmatched. Every outing was an adventure, to say the least. That changed a bit when I had my twins. I couldnt help but wonder, what if some freak accident happened to me? Falling and hitting my head on a rock in the river, coming face to face with an aggressive animal (or person!) , getting stuck in quicksand while alone (quicksand is common in trout streams), etc etc. My kids would grow up not knowing who I was. I wouldn't see their first day of school. Their first time riding a bike. The first time opening a Christmas present. I realize the risk of those things is minimal, but it's still there. Not to mention, I felt guilty going on these adventures, while my family was at home. Ultimately, you need to answer which desire is stronger. For me, I've given up extended Solo Trout Fishing trips. My desire to be there for my family was stronger than my desire for Trout Fishing.

When he said "foreign country", I honestly have to advice the questioner going to Thailand. Safe, secure, and solidified. Work from home, live alone, and have peace. If you work from home then it makes little sense to even be in a western country UNLESS you have a mortgage. Otherwise if nothing is locking you from the land then there is no reason to do so. Though they do live with their parents, so unless they have a strong desire to be independent, then it may be unfavorable to do so. I DO think they should try it for a few months to see how it feels. The worst case is an "Oh no, I lost $600 a month" vs "Wow this is great my mom and dad would be prouder of me now than the time I first got my drivers license!". Good question and fun video, glad your christmas was merry Why learn and keep up the content!

@@xxlookalive239x3It can sound enticing but if you don’t have a bachelor degree they will enlist you as the bottom ranking grunt - and you are expendable to them. They don’t care if you die for a needless war - you’re just a number on a spreadsheet to them. If you’re going to do it, based on my limited research it’s worth it to go in already having a bachelors degree so you’re an officer at the get go.

I want a life that isn't a rat race. Your gaslighting motivation is similar to what I used to hear growing up, " If you just work hard now, you won't have to later". Well hate to break it to you but in today's America all middle, and lower class will more than likely be working to death, and no amount of 'hard work' will get you out. "Well I'm doing it so my kids can have an easier life, and better future", oh well hate to break it to you again, but your kids will be working just as hard or harder by the time they have kids, regardless of your work ethic. This country is basically done for and all because people want to create false hope motivational videos for the people, instead of giving motivation to what really needs to happen; Revolution. That's the real adventure.
