Watching all the work that got put into the costume, now I feel even better with the video turning up as good as it did. That's some serious dedication, man. Looked fantastic from the begginig.

How do you transport Mr. Snowman?
@TheDailyPrankster2 жыл бұрын
In 2 pieces...body/head. Can carry the body on my shoulder and carry the head below me holding onto the inner headpiece. The suit fits in my large van for driving. Fitting it in a vehicle is probably the hardest aspect of this costume.

Absolutely brilliant. As I commented on 1 of your other videos I want to make 1 for my own Xmas display. How the head articulated separate from the body had me a bit puzzled. Do you have straps inside to carry/move it around or does it just ride on your shoulders? Isaac Alexander DIY has a video on his channel about creating a similar (non wearable) snowman and he mists the foam with water and pats it down to form it. I suspect that a wet glove might work as well. Water is often part of the curing process for this style of foam so misting or patting with a damp glove could be beneficial.

The head is a "helmet" of sorts. I attached the webbing from a construction helmet to the interior. So I can walk around with just the head on if I wanted to. The joint between the head and body is hidden with the scarf, which is fabric draped over a rigid barrier (corrugated plastic). The head kind of rests on the body while I'm wearing it, and I lift it just slightly so I can articulate it. The height of the suit was definitely made for my height/proportions. Hope that helps.

Jay Carls ( The original Scary Snowman) has a battery powered fan mounted under the vented hat with an internal switch to use it only when needed. Most of the time in winter in the northern states he uses the fan most all the time and its still a sauna. I'm not certain but I think he's trying to start backing away from his best buddy snowman.

Looks great but...one safety issue is, if you stumble forward and land on the front, the nose bolt would be pushed backwards and into your head with a lot of force. I've seen other snowman pranks, and sometimes they get pushed or fall over.

You need to paint the adhesive paint first, then paint with any vehicle paint you want. I'd use a lazy sue son, to move the item around into a circle. If, you add the hard hat, why not use it fully on. That way if your hit behind, then your head still be safe. there is a neck blower that you could add to the collar, and have a hole at the top of the head, then have a small collar below the hat, and have the hat attached to the hard hat, through the head part(?) Just my opinion, but been watching several different kinds. Ha! Good show!

The bottom should have been wider for more mobility... to save yourself from a fall with a couple of side or back steps if someone pushed you.

i would have stuck with the 'theme' of the costume by having some sort of fake carrot nose (ie, not an actual edible carrot / carrots) like maybe orange ductape, or something.
