i think i get him, the instant rice is already packed in plastic and they have tiny holes on it so the water can enter the plastic. once boiled, the rice will becomes like a cube or so call "compacted rice", and here in Malaysia we call as "nasi impit" 😄. Basically we will wash the packed rice as well, just like normally we was rice before we boil it.

@@ranryuu2864 It is clean and you are just meant to put it into pot of boiling water as is if you buy a whole 1kg bag, not a box with smaller (usually 100g each) bags, those tell you to wash the rice oh, but a quick google told me it's better not to use the pre portioned bagged rice since the bags have a carcinogenic substance that so far has been banned from use in products for babies and is still being tested if it's really safe for adults

Yeah, if you have Ben's Original in your country you most likely have Boil-In-Bag which is pre-portioned rice you just stick in the boiling water and let it cook. I still prefer rice cooked normally so you can wash it first, but if you can't cook rice and don't have a rice cooker it's a good option, since you won't get any rice stuck to the pot.
