It could be just me but this game had so much eye candy. The stages have so many things going on (i.e. the sunbeds, the details on the walls, etc.) DOA5, in comparison, looks a tad.... Drab

I definitely agree~ DOA4 had some stunning visuals, especially for its time. Unfortunately, when they decided to go for 'realism' in DOA5, they also made it drab and grey. I'm hopeful for DOA6's art direction, since the footage of its early build looks to be more vibrant like DOA4.

Another comparison; look at Jann Lee He's quite muscular in 4, and it definitely plays along with his intimidating/rush character factor. While in 5, he seems a tad bit... Underwhelming

@@zekegonzalez1845 The characters look awful, same for their body proportions. The DOA community needs to make their own game where the characters look closer to DOA2U/DOA4, while having proportions and skin tones similar to Street Fighter V.

DOA4 was stunning when it came out. The game had so much potential, and I think a lot of that potential was lost after the lead of the team decided to change almost everything about the game, which made it worse :( Still, it was my favorite installment of the series at the time~

@@UsagiZ DOA hasn't been the same ever since he left Tecmo. He needs to make another fighting game that's a spiritual successor to DOA, retaining the sex appeal of the franchise prior to DOA5.

I'd really like to see the seaside market stage return to the series~ DOA5's color palette was so drab and grey in comparison to DOA4, which was such a disappointment :( I'm glad they're going for a more colorful and saturated look in DOA6.

Hmm, I'd say the models are around the same quality, if not slightly more detailed (especially the guys) and there's definitely been some lighting and shader improvements since they're using a completely new engine, if I recall correctly. Some of the costumes are direct ports from doa5, so there's still areas where the mesh geometry is visible, or not as smooth as it could be - which isn't the greatest, but that saves the devs some time.

Yeah, I'd say so -- there's many steps to make them function correctly in-game. The individual steps might not be that difficult, but the entire process is altogether pretty tedious.

Thanks :D Editing the moves messes up the intro fight scenes (when you leave it on "press start" screen and they play the Aerosmith song.) Like when Kasumi and Ayane are on the bridge fighting in the intro, the new moves mess up the timing but the camera still tries to follow the old moves. The story mode animations are in a different file, so it shouldn't affect story mode at all~

Hi :D All of the moveset edits are done with manual hex-editing. Any hex editor should work. There aren't really any special tools for editing the movesets yet, unfortunately.

It can, actually :D The moveset files are pretty much the same as DOA4's --- though, it'd be harder to get it working on a 3ds. There's an incomplete 3ds emulator that you might be able to test with, but to my knowledge, none of the builds run DOA Dimensions 100% flawlessly yet.

This moveset mod hasn't been released yet, unfortunately :( You'd need a modded Xbox 360 to play it - at least that's the only way I know.

The animation files in 2U and 3 are the same format, but the moveset files are a little different. You would have to use DOA3 Kasumi as a base and start from scratch again to make a moveset like this for DOA3.
