Thanks for the positive feedback Alan just quarter of a turn in your reel or just flick the rod .Always try and keep a tight line so you in contact with your float for better line pick up in the strike and hopefully a proper rod bender 👍🎣

Is there a reason you seem to be whipping your rod upwards after attempting to sink your line? Submerging the rod tip and turning the reel which I have always done but afterwards you seem to drag all of the line back up out of the water? I noticed this, paused to video and went through the frames. When you do this you can see on the still frames that all of the line has broken the surface again?

Are you not worried about a fish running past the basket and snagging you up, cos I guarantee if it was me, the first carp would wrap me round that basket 😂

Hi Alan they sometimes do go behind the basket on that peg but found when ya hook the fish not putting much pressure on and just leading them towards you usually works but I know what you mean 🤣 I have lost the odd one 👍

@@CoopersCommercialMatchAngling it's a smallish open water venue with quite a few small carp as well as silvers , but the last 2 times we went the carp were very scarce . Had a few early on on a tiny feeder then they cleared off , chucked it all around , still no joy , thinking they could be up in the water but I thought I'd get liners at least .

@@topfuelteddy ye happens in winter they back off to safe water great for searching with minimum disturbance on the waggler hope it works for you have a great day mate 👍
