Hope you guys had the forthought to use a food grade water sanitizer to the well after entering and tending to it....to kill off any bacteria, microbes, toxins and other such ilk that might want to breed in the disturbed waters down there.

Rocks on the facade would be cute. Then build a roof over it like a wishing well. Hang a wooden bucket on a pulley under the roof...it'll already be there for your next clean-out! 😉

Make sure you add a gallon of real disinfecting bleach and a gallon of apple cider vinegar to kill germs in the well. A man that ran the water quality af our 700 acre camping park well always did that when messing with the well. He used bleach a lot.

Really bleach? how aweful for the environment.😯😵‍💫
@carolyncrider8217
@carolyncrider8217 2 жыл бұрын
@@LindaEll89 Clearly you have no understanding of chemistry. Its called shocking a well. Bleach loses its ability when dry. Look it up. If you live in town your water is bleach treated. All public pools are bleach treated. I used bleach as a wound care RN for 40 years..its called Dakins solution but its bleach diluted. The ocean spray against certain rocks creates its own bleach. It occurs naturally in white blood cells.

Concreting cobblestones to the side of the well like you did for the entry way will add a lot of charm to the well and for ease of maintenance at the base you could pour a concrete ring . can't wait to see what you do for making a new cap .

I agree your videos are to short. When you first started your channel, your videos were longer. Which we enjoyed very much !! Maybe some day using the pressure washer you'll clean your roof. But be careful not to put to much pressure it could cause holes in the roof, since it is old. Do you know if any work has been done on it some time ago?

I was worried with you hauling that bucket up on such a thin rope. If the handle on the bucket, or the rope, had broken, then the full bucket would have fallen down and could have caused serious injuries to whoever was down the well.
