Hello Sir, I wanted to investigate the perception of consumers towards a retail format. So I constructed an online questionnaire on facebook for people to fill out and also printed it out and took it to the store for customers to fill out. I just wanted to get information from people who had shopped. I am little bit confused on the sampling method used.

Well, how did you give it out at the store? Did you use a random number generator to generate a number (like 10) and then give every 10th person a questionnaire? If so, that would be systematic sampling. Did you give them out to everyone? Well, then you might have suffered from Convenience bias. Posting the survey on Facebook is Voluntary bias/Convenience bias. Your sampling method has to be random to be fair.

What do you call the bias where the person finds it hard to get to a place, so he/she goes to adjacent spot and asks people there instead?

A little late, but that's convenience bias. The person is making choices that are convenient - not random.
