In regards to lemon balm, Melissa in Greek means bee. Early bee keepers used it to calm bees and also keep them healthy. They grew it around their hives.

Yup. We only have original, unadulterated Doc Jones. We tried doing some videos using just a cardboard cut out of me but they were pretty boring. :0) Doc www.homegrownherbalist.net/

Another fun and informative video! Thank you Doc Jones! My favorite medicinal herbs are stinging nettles and lemon balm. I seem to reach for those two more than any other. Oh, and Plantain. And goldenrod leaf. And, and, and.....I have too many favorites!

We lived in Northern Utah for 19 years and I find you AFTER I move back to Texas. Bummer. Wish you would get with Marjory Wildcraft and set up a Herb walk in Her neck of the woods.

Marjory is in Colorado now. They moved from the Austin area last year, I think. We are homesteaders in east TX. Come visit our channel sometime.

New sub was wondering if you could do something for kidneys
@HomeGrownHerbalist5 жыл бұрын
There are several herbs that support the kidneys beautifully. Nettle seed, milkweed root, rehmannia, chamomile. Have a look at this formula. www.homegrownherbalist.net/collections/kidney-bladder-formulas/products/kidney-builder

Is peppermint also a thyroid depressant? Does this go for all the mint family?
@HomeGrownHerbalist4 жыл бұрын
Lemon Balm, motherwort and bugleweed are the main ones. Peppermint doesn't suppress thyroid that I'm aware of. Doc Jones HomeGrownHerbalist.net
