Listened to this while we were taking off from Budapest in sunset time after long business trip... That would be an unforgettable experience in my life.

I heard a clip of Doc playing this on a clip of the Jack Jones show and it was superb however this time he absolutely nailed it. Doc was incredible under pressure. I’ve always felt the best way to handle pressure is be so solid that your ability carries you through the nerves. Doc took big chances and always pulled it off.

Doc did a great job on this standard but - - listen to Bunny Berigan’s rendition - it will blow your mind.

I never even knew Doc could sing. Same goes for the drummer in Bread.

I love the trumpet & the singing, but I CAN'T STAND THE ARRANGEMENT!!! I heard Doc play the trumpet fanfare at Los Alamitos when I was in the Quarter Horse business & was racing one of my horses. He blew the high note!!! {probably because it was cold that night & he didn't have a chance to warm up}.
