It's so amazing how this gentleman provides so much information, everything from history to train car model numbers, where they are built, etc. I have no idea how he gathers all of this information. Great videos with excellent filming skills. Would really like to know who the man behind the camera is.

Great series. Curious to kmow voltage and frequency of power outlets on board the train?
@mihan2d
@mihan2d 3 жыл бұрын
Well there wouldn't be power outlets for passengers if they weren't meant for standard appliances. Which in Europe (incl. Russia) is 220 V 50 Hz. Note that the operator waives its responsibility in case of a device malfunction due to power instability. Officially these outlets are certified only for electric razors, but that's only because these guidelines were created back when everyone didn't have a smartphone they needed charging.

Omg, we are reaching Moscow before Christmas :) Good job, awesome series, I usually never watch such videos full but this series are really captivating and pleasure to watch. Filming quality is like 9/10. My only complain - it would be better to travel at summer with much longer days - more things to see and better view. Late november is like the most depressive time but well :) The next part will be super long compared to this one, 1700 km not a joke. Wish you the good inspiration and awesome time reading positive comments :)
@scheduller763
@scheduller763 5 жыл бұрын
The matter is that Russia is not Spain, or Florida coast. There are not so many sunny days. The author has exactly captured the nature of Russia: grey and cold from outside, bright and warm from inside. And the magic of this contrast perspective is that it helps viewers to escape from depression.

I disagree. I'm watching these videos to see Siberia in winter. Temperatures fascinate me, minus 8 degrees in November. It's almost unheard of in the UK. I was taught at school that Russian winters are so cold that the population prepares for winter all year round. Russia is a totally different ball game, and I'm loving what I'm seeing.

This is quite a project that you've done and well done I would say.of course it makes me wonder why anyone in the right mind would want to spend almost 7 days on a train sharing bunks which might be infested with bed bugs and eating some of the superb Russian food you have illustrated, instead of only 12 hours admittedly exquisite torture on a plane.

I had the same question at first, but I noticed that he only does this when he is changing trains. He is filming the train he has just got off from - "our train" - leaving for it's next destination, while he waits to board a new train to a different destination. Like you, I am really enjoying these videos. I really enjoy the way that he let's his love for travel speak for itself.
