I have never salt water fish befor. I grew up fresh water fishing in rivers and lakes and creeks and bayou. Would love to get a chance to try out salt water fishing even if it's from the docks or banks. Love the channel. Fishing is my life

Good call by the Wisconsin native. I just got back from my timeshare in islamorada. Mm75 1/2. Plenty of bull and blacktips and lemon but nothing that big. Around 5 -6 foot. That pier is tough to navigate. Great job! Where were you?

Hello Joshua this is the laughing shark Janine. I enjoyed this video again you do great videos. I live in Maryland and I am working hard at documenting the 17 year locusts cicadas that are orange and black bodies with red eyes. There are so many and they fly onto to you. I was thinking I wish there was a lake or a stream where I could try to use them as bait. I love to see if a bass or trout would strike at them. I wish I could show you a picture of the seventeen year locust. I know that they would make some kind of good fish bait.

the key with tying the uni on heavy line is tension, just put the loop around your feet and lay the mono raps with you're fingers, I can tie even 1000lb without a problem.

I have a genuine question for Josh or anybody else who knows. When he cuts the hook, he was talking about how you spend more time taking it out and it can really mess the shark up but if you cut it and leave it in its mouth, could that cause it to get infected or have trouble eating? I definitely understand how it can mess the shark up but I figured if you leave it in, it could cause long term infection or something to it’s mouth. I could 100% be wrong but I was just curious

I believe he cuts the actual hook in half. The end with the barb will just fall out like a piercing will if you don’t have the stopper on the other side. The other half of the hook is still attached to the leader. That’s the benefit of the type of hook he uses it almost always hooks them in the corner of the mouth and leaves both sides of the hook exposed.

Yeah he uses circle hooks so to hook them in the corner of the mouth. At release they use bolt cutters to cut the hook in half so it will either eventually slide out or rust out in a few weeks. I know you are not aloud to use stainless steel hooks for that exact reason.

I use left and right depending on the technique i am using. If you fish for musky, you should definitely learn to use both hands on the reel

I think it's a nice baitsize... only for cutbait ;) but honestly, bulls and blacktips are one of my favorite bait, up to 4-5feet whole, bigger ones in 20-50lb pieces to attract hammers, tigers and big bulls also to selectthe small ones out
