Got the image to build. Installed ximg/xlaunch but when we launch xlaunch all we get is a window with a grey background and then the container exits. Any help would be appreciated. So close. Thank you.

Made the same experience about Firefox being slow… but it’s very responsive if I use VNC even KZbin. A friend told me X11 protocol is limited by default… not sure about this.

Would this work well on a TruNAS scale setup since it also uses docker containers? I’m wanting to have a remote environment to connect to. And would it be possible to connect xrdp via my iphone because I would be likely installing steam and stuff so I can login and enable remote play to do steam link on devices.

yes, you can check this video for a clue: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3bVlml4mZxomtk I'm using WSL Ubuntu, but this should also work if Ubuntu is the host and you map the folders right.

I'm pretty sure that the Dockerfiles should work on Mac too, but I don't know about the xserver. Maybe you can try this one: www.xquartz.org/ kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWfIZJaneK6Gl6c At least it works with SSH as demonstrated in the video, but it makes things more complicated

If you are using the files provided, it can result in an error (failed to solve: failed to read dockerfile: open Dockerfile: no such file or directory). By renaming the respective file to Dockerfile, removing either .ubuntu or .lubuntu, I was able to continue with the setup.

Actualization: Ubuntu image version [22.00+] of latest has a different structure since this was uploaded. As such the code is no longer viable. Beware If you do not start the service with default settings before starting the container it stops itself
