@@gibbsnathaniel6134 I think I’d agree with you, especially when there was one who just hung up on me prior to pipe week, he won’t be getting any more custom from me that is for sure and with 1.1k views it could prove to be costly too. Look after your customers and everything will fall into place., yeh I’m going to vote in a while, we are stuffed either way, don’t trust either of them to do a good job they are full of crap, there’s only one man I’m voting for and at least he talks sense and we need him in parliament.

@@dominiksapper5807 Good morning Dominik, I was blown away buddy no questions asked, I did however make it absolutely clear that I wasn’t laying the blame with the retailer and did mention I had a KZbin channel and if they wanted to see for themselves the poor quality and my thoughts on it it would be much easier than trying to explain everything in an email. But well pleased with the way they look after their customers and that’s why we return and continue shopping with them. Great result but I do hope that the blenders now grab the bull by the horns and it’s been a one off and they haven’t been penny pinching on cheaper products to use in the blend instead of sticking to the original recipe just for maximum return and to hell with the pipe smokers experience. Time will tell but I’m in no rush to buy any more as it’s put me off, I’ll want to know that things are as they were and the Dockworker is how it’s always been.

I was very impressed in their swift response and even more by their gesture and will of course continue to shop with them. I wonder if that company who put the phone down on me before pipe week has been reading these comments maybe they could learn something eh!

Hopefully Yusuf, company I deal with said they were going to contact the blender who bought Hu who we all know who that is and report it to them and with any look give them a shake up, but I won’t be rushing to buy anymore hu until I know they’ve got it sorted out. @@ParsimoniousPiper Hello Ethan, yes wouldn’t it be great if some other companies looked after their customers like this, I purposely didn’t mention the company as I didn’t blame them for what had happened, but not only that I never mention any European suppliers because I personally don’t think we should advertise them as you just don’t know who’s watching the channels and if say an employer from border force watched and reported it we could lose a brilliant supplier and one where for us in the U.K. can get it far more cheaper than what we have to pay here in Blighty. One person did mention in the comments after I’d said I wasn’t naming names came straight on and blurted it out which I removed but i do wish that said person wouldn’t keep telling the world,loose lips and all that. And I get the impression that he just does it on purpose a bit like I’m alright jack. Anyhow that’s my Friday afternoon whinge done and dusted 😂 have a great weekend however you spend it

Yes I was very impressed with them and that’s what its all about eh, look after your customers just like they have done and we’ll return even though it wasn’t them at fault. They said that they would take it up with the blenders themselves.

@@GenXPiper Thanks mate, absolutely first class customer service, was really impressed with them. I made it clear that I wasn’t blaming them in the slightest when I emailed them, honestly they couldn’t have done more really. They are taking it up with the blender.

@@TruckinPiperBob Yes they came up trumps, very impressed. That bugger who put the phone down on me just before pipe week should go and work for them for a while he may learn something! Me Hat, Percussion, good quality hunting gear at a good price too.

Great news that the supplier took care of you. The County Squire is a great shop. I agree that they have some top notch blends. I order from them often. Theirs are the only aromatics I smoke. I'm particularly fond of their blend Black and Tan. Old time burly/cavendish blend.

I bought myself a tin of Dockworker last month because of the good reviews but I haven't tried it yet. I'm going to be second guessing whether it's a true representation or not when I try it. Hopefully I like it and then it doesn't matter either way (until I buy another 😁)

Love your channel my friend. I don’t often comment but watch all the time. That’s great customer service from HU supplier . I have loved their tobaccos. I’d give em another chance and see if maybe you just got a bad batch. I hope that’s the case. Have a great day.

@@2ampipeonthepatio I’m the same, if I commented to every video I watched and replied to every comment I’d get nothing done but I’ll comment to as many as I can, I too enjoy your videos and usually watch them while I’m doing something like prepping my meals as you are good company while I’m busy. Yes the HU tobaccos were usually top marks especially the Dockworker and the Tillerman which is another favourite of mine, but I’m not sure if Tillerman is still getting made without checking but I hope so and I hope they haven’t ruined that one too. @@thepipersmantel Good morning Dan, totally agree with you and they have been wonderful. My email was polite and stressed that I wasn’t holding them responsible in anyway whatsoever and mentioned I had a KZbin channel and if they wanted to actually see the condition of the tobacco it would probably be easier to watch than me try to explain. But 10/10 I’ll not stop buying from them as they’ve been fantastic. I was watching the weather for down under the other day and it seems that in some parts it’s been colder than other years. Our winter was just a complete washout as it rained from start to finish, never known such a wet winter like it. Hope all is well with you.

How do you pronounce your channel name and what is the origin, please ? I get the Roman Numerals 19 but may be off beam understanding it…..BTW I ordered some Ennerdale to try :-) Fantastic channel - Thank you. I am a Derbyshire lad born in Eyam but spent most of my adult life serving God, around the world…. I do miss my home, Peak District, North Yorkshire Moors and trips to Whitby :-) I hope to come home to retire to a parish and enjoy a bowl or two with a pint again before I leave this world. Your channel gives me precious memories and is a blessing in my life. Thank you - Fr. Andy

@@Fr_Andy Hello Andy, I’m a Former soldier who served with the Green Howards who were the 19th of foot regiment buddy. Really it’s XlX but X1X is what and the lads called it. I’m pleased you enjoy the channel though I’m no one special just another bloke born in the Yorkshire Dales which I still and will always call home to moving east on to the edge of the North Yorkshire moors, still a beautiful place but not home. I was brought up on the Family Farm that was in Arkengarthdale, that will always be home and where I’ll end up when my pipe breaks as my plot is paid for, nowt like been prepared eh😂 just as well I did as the places in the chapel yard are now all taken but I paid for my plot when I served just in case anything happened at least I had some say in the matter.

Hiyas Jonathan, I'm very glad that they've done what a top business would do under these circumstances and refund yer money £. Hopefully this was a one off bad batch and not a serious, system wide, poor quality issue. In this community; good, repeatable, quality products rightfully earn praise that generate increased customer base and loyalty, bad products get noticed, talked about and eventually folk won't buy those products. I've enjoyed several high quality HU blends over the years and I'd be very disappointed to see them go down hill. Serene smokes Gary

@@oldandintheway1955 Hello Gary, I’d like to hope this was a one off that’s for sure because two of my favourites are by Hu the other been the Tillerman, so hopefully someone somewhere in blending and quality control have or will be getting a rocket shoved up them, because what was a fantastic smaller company that’s been taken over by the big boys could just totally ruin years of a well known and loved by so many name into the ground by possibly changing the ingredients just to save money but to get a much bigger return and to hell with the consequences, it all boils down to money and greed. As you say I just hope it’s been a cock up and could turn into an expensive cock up if others like me pop the can and find what looked like sweepings up, and not only that those who’ve never smoked the good stuff won’t be any wiser and may never buy anymore again thinking that’s the normal blend when it’s obviously not. I made the retailer aware that I have a channel but stressed that in no way do I blame them and if they’d like to view my findings they were more than welcome to view it and no doubt it’s also been passed on to the blenders. Well if something isn’t right it’s not right and it’s needs addressing and rectifying even if it means a recall from retailers then don’t send it out until it’s fit to be passed on. Fingers crossed eh! Enjoy your evening fella.
