Great tutorial, thanks! Is it possible to make sort of a throttle effect? Say I have a vid with a timeline, and then the bass kick would advance the timeline a short amount, instead of either 0 or 1?

I'm wondeing if I should use something like Soundflower for audio? I want to record a VJ/DJ set. I tried using my default Mac sound but I am not sure it really triggered the effects that well after going through a VDMX tutorial on setting up a minimalism set. He used Soundflower to play audio trough youtube.

Hey Doc, Where do you get these audio responsive visuals? Are you able to purchase them or do they all need to be made from scratch? Can you provide some recommendations of where to get them? I'm new to vdmx and using it for projection mapping - but right now only playing video.

You dont get audio responsive Visuals!, you do it via any software like Resolume or VDMX5, like in this tutorial you literally use some of the tools to extract the audio signal info and use that to actually animate any parameter that you choose!
