I noticed that when discussing bleeding I had a dyslexic moment snd said Ateties go to the heart and Veins, away. Swap that. Besides very specific instances related to coronary arteries, which lead to the heart, arteries transport blood from the heart, and veins transport to the heart. You know I always have to say something too fast to catch myself misspeaking.

Me - "Oh nice, a really long unboxing video from Doc, that must be a lot of interesting stuff in there!" Me after seeing that there's a medical item as the box gets opened : "Oh, that's why..." I'm just kidding doc, great unboxing as usual. Thanks for all the information. One never knows when it might come in handy.

The discussion of the differences between capillary, arterial, and venous bleeding was worth the price of admission alone. Edit: Also another vote for the cut content.

Just finished BCT a month ago...AGAIN... and they now " log Stack" your weapons. We didn't tripod them. We did it when I did Basic the first time back in 1993.

You make some really great points on the products here. There are a couple I may touch on when miraculous girl and I do our live unboxing. I can tell you I’ve used to bleed stop, it is not light in powdery, but more granules. One thing I have to say about this month box. A lot of the products are things that I would and have actually purchased. And I think that’s a good thing because it shows are sending useful products.

They also taught us proper rifle stacking in basic, which we of course never used again. The M16 has a form of "stacking rod" so you don't need any sort of tripod set up.

Yes back in the tool/ hardware department of Walmart they sell not only all the sizes of nite ize ties but also a bunch of other reusable straps and tie downs.....I seem to grab something every time I go there....I have them from really small to really tall...... the only limitation on uses for them is your imagination...... there so freaking handy....if you need to tie or hold something temporarily out of the way without tieing knots.... there great!!!and they come in a bunch of really awesome colors

The tactica knife reminds me of James brand stuff. They don’t make awful knives either but prices aren’t right for what you’re getting. Not a awful box though compared to some others I suppose.

I have a couple different roaring fire pouches that I've been using going over a year now.... one is a fire kit and one I made into a knife and axe maintenance sharpening kit that's portable with various tools and repair stuff..... all holding up very well... no tearing no rips......and there right about in the middle on pricing compared to some of the others!!!!

Ft. Benning never had a problem tripoding weapons during basic. Stick one barrel through one sling top. 3rd rifle to side. The only problem we had was during a thunderstorm in a field they had us do this and get away from the rifles. However mother natural had other ideas. Lightning struck one of the rifle stacks. Thankful my platoon was further away, but the platoon closer. Got electrocuted through there wet asses sitting on the ground. Some people were temporary paralyze. Others no one heard from again. They changed protocol after that. To get into the wood line during the storms. Which is what I was taught when I was younger anyways. I thought it was strange for us to be in an open field.

The tri pod thing is neat... but I've always made them with just simply a 36"" inch pc of paracord or bank line!!!! If I'm not carrying a folding grill to put my pots on to cook.... but it's cool... just extra weight i don't feel or deem ness...

It's like a hemostatic agent of sorts... but I still think the bandages that have the blood stopping agent in it is going to be a better thing to carry.... more versatile 😊

I've had some "fun" experiences with arterial bleeding from my 7 years of hemodialysis. If you leave an area and it doesn't look like a murder just happened, the bleeding wasn't arterial. 🤣 That shit will literally hit the ceiling.

They're trying to impress on people that it's not for arterial or venous blood, but I agree it's weird wording. As for the why only capillary bleed, you don't want it getting into the blood stream, clotting the superior or anterior vena cava or the aorta, and causing cardiac arrest.

@-sxott- Жыл бұрын
Good sir, Arteries are away from the heart (hence the spurting, as its the heart pumping). Veins are to the heart. A for Artery, A for away.

You are 99% correct. However there is one case where that is not true. The right and left Coronary Arteries carry blood to the heart, not away. They are classified as arteries because they transport oxygenated blood, from the lungs, to the heart. That is why when we instruct medical classes we are specific to say that while MOST arteries transport blood away from the heart, there is an exception.

I thought arteries brought blood to the extremities (away) while the veins brought the blood to the heart (back) and as you said, except in one case for arteries and veins.
