8:09 I know Marvel is all about trying to give characters more agency, but Reid isn’t written to character and definitely Dane Whitman is not written to character. Remember that time where he had a great art with Steve Epting illustrating that epic when he was made into some sort of consort of the Eternal Sersi? And he had these wild abilities? What happened to that creature that took over that entire country when Busiek and Perez were on the Avengers where they trapped him inside of that country with the Ebony Blade? I hope Marvel didn’t pretend that that never happened. Dane Whitman then wasn’t some sort of sidekick feeling in saying scientist. He was the leader of the avengers.
