My absolute favorite early sci-fi anthology. The prologue and epilogue for each episode were always spot on.

I agree. Twilight Zone is great but The Outer Limits is like a mini movie. I remember hunting down all the MGM vhs when they released it.

Great to see in the upper right hand corner it was a Christmas gift for someone. Lucky kid! And now it's yours! *evil laugh*

I love that stuff on the pieces i find. It gives it a history.I always try and wonder how it made its journey to me. I have a Mego Star Trek Enterprise and it has small pieces of Christmas wrapping paper still attached. So awesome!

Great story, Rich. And The Andromedan has always been one of my favorite episodes of any TV show ever. I've always loved the look the alien.

Such a cool game. Congrats for having one in your collection. I've always loved The Outer Limits. My favorite ep is The Architects Of Fear, but Galaxy Being and Zanti Misfits are way up there. I actually saw bits of an Outer Limits episode when I was 4 or 5. I just remember it through the hazy memory of a young child but it had a lasting effect on me though I'm still not sure which one it was. In the '90s I saw some of the OL episodes Penn and Teller hosted on TNT's Monstervision and loved them. A few weeks ago I went through the whole series on Blu-ray and also listened to several of the commentary tracks. Great stuff. I enjoy the Twilight Zone too, but I was always an Outer Limits guy first and foremost. The Zone is written on a higher level consistently, but some of the Outer Limits episodes are truly excellent, and the Limits is very monster-heavy which appeals to the Monster Kid in me. Seems like people are either Zone or Limits, Addams Family or Munsters, Superhero or Horror, Marvel or DC, etc. I like them all but I'm a Outer Limits/Addams Family/Horror/Marvel (Superhero at least, DC for Horror and War) kinda guy. I have the Outer Limits trading card set from the '60s. It's a lot of fun because for one thing it's beautifully printed with the OL monsters in color, but the weird thing is that the text on the cards is like an alternate universe version of the storylines and don't match the OL episodes at all. Somehow this makes it all the more desirable just for the strangeness it presents. I also have some of the OL Sideshow figures which are very nice. Some day I'd like to score a copy of this game, though they are quite pricey these days. Too bad Marx, MPC, or Remco, never did a big Outer Limits playset. I agree about the "patina" you mention adding character to collectibles. NM condition looks nice but is seems barren and clinical compared to things like that Christmas sticker on your game. Some kid's parents probably stuck that under the tree unwrapped after the kid went to bed and that sticker symbolized the occasion. Extremely cool! I have three comics with a previous owner's name neatly written on the cover. I knew this guy in high school and bought several of his books which is how I came by them. Amusingly, two of them are now expensive keys- Captain America 117 and Marvel Premiere 1. They are in the FN range and might be dropped a grade for the names but I wouldn't trade them for VF copies regardless of monetary value. They have character and wear their history on their covers. Also appreciated on comics are date stamps, store stamps, subscription creases, filled out coupons (not missing, the book must be complete), and other so-called "defects" which tell the story of the history of the item. Others can pay a fortune for a slabbed 9.8. I prefer items with "soul" as you mentioned. I'm glad I discovered your channel due to this Bleak Sunday event. If my lengthy comments become tedious just ignore me and I'll gradually fade awayyyy. :)

Your comments are far from tedious. They are thoughtful and a pleasure to read. Thanks for the comments. This game really is one of the pride and joys of my collection. I have some of the Sideshows as well. There is actually a Ben Cooper Outer Limits costume from the 60's that I have been hunting for, for years. Its based on Landau from The Man Who was Never Born.The mask shows up on e-bay but is usually in poor condition. There are also two jaymar puzzles with art work similar to the game. they show up from time to time on e-bay. I agree I want my items complete but I love those little bits of soul that the items have. Check out my Mego Trek episode for another item with Patina I love both The Outer Limits and Zone its hard to choose between the two. I came to Zone first as it was syndicated in my area. I saw an episode of Outer limits on TV as a kid briefly, I later learned it was The Mice. The monster was feeding off the pond scum and it terrified me. I have to agree with you though that I go back to The Outer Limits more. My favorite episodes are The Architects of Fear,A Feasibility Study, Corpus Earthling and Zanti Misfits. There are two Zones that I watch every year. In the summer I watch A Walking Distance and at Christmas I always watch The Changing of the Guard. Both I feel beautifully encapsulate the season they represent. Gig Young is heartbreaking in Distance and its so sad the way his life really ended up. Donald Pleasance is perfect in The Changing of the Guard and it never fails to get me choked up. I'm glad you found us as well. Stick around. Chat with you soon!

So how do you play this? How do you complete the aliens?
@doctordurantssanctum1977 Жыл бұрын
It’s kind of like Uno. Each player is dealt a certain number of cards and you go round the board trying to acquire the pieces you need.

@@rascal211 you take turns like a card game. I’ll take a shot of the directions and post them if you’d like. It’s a fun game!

@@doctordurantssanctum1977 Seems boring. You just take one card and if it's not one of the four cards you need to make the puzzel of the Alien you have to put it back. Then the other person takes a card and the same for him/her. Whoever completes the four card puzzel first, gets the four cards needed to complete the Alien wins the game.

@@rascal211 I enjoyed playing it with my daughter at the time. It’s not thrilling but I’ve certainly played more boring games! Lol
