Mum on 30mg got severe diarrhoea now for just under 3 weeks. Still cannot get a telephone call back or appt appt with salaried Doctor at the GP’s practice; yesterday only offered appt with Physician’s Associate next week. So worrying when you cannot get advice from a Doctor. I had to advise the GP yesterday she has decided to withdraw them. GP office says forget 111 go straight to A&E if she gets worse!

I been taken Lansoprazole for a couple of years now due to really bad acid reflux. It helps greatly with reflux but suffer from diarrhea in the morning more now. Can Lansoprazole be reduce from daily dose to a few times a week to help with side effects but continue to help with reflux.

I felt sick taking it on an empty stomach so GP said to take it at start of breakfast but not to have dairy with it. When I was an inpatient in hospital, I was given the medication at breakfast time and was not told I couldn't have dairy for breakfast. I wish doctors would stop confusing patients and know exactly what's what. After hearing that this med is not good for patients for long term use, I hope I'm not going to die from some horribly painful complications caused by this med which I have to take for life to protect my stomach from baby aspirin which I have to take after TAVI. I need to protect my stomach from the aspirin as it's the only blood thinner without dangerous or misery causing side effects because I had a burst stomach ulcer and nearly died from internal bleeding.

Can you explain why if I’m only to use half the dose why I should discard the other half? (Dosing is for child under 1year) Is it really unstable if I am using other half of the pill later in the day. It is sealed in a container and away from sunlight.

I had alcohol poisoning last summer and used it. I still have the Tabs. Feeling very rough this morning and getting sick quite a bit . Am I safe to take a fast tab to stop the nausea?

They are the same class of medicine and work in the same way, why do you want to take both? Have you spoken with your gp?

Taking this, was on 15mg a day & GP increased to 30mg. Have had upper right quadrant pain, feels like swollen & uncomfortable. One point pain went further right & round to my back. So from what you say possibly Liver? If that’s the case would that suggest I have potential general Liver issue? (I am trying to get to the bottom of why I feel unwell for a long period of time now, still no further forward)
