Nathan Raven Indeed! The worst episodes are the ones where he isn't in it...

Has anyone else noticed, when watching old tv programmes. That if the actors make a small mistake it is left in and they just repeat the word/line (Example at 13.58) - I notice them a lot of the tv series "Please Sir!" as well . Where as in modern shows everything is spoken perfectly (assuming it is possibly easier now to do a re-take of a scene) Personally I like the little mistakes, makes it seem more realistic

I've always thought that, in real life we all stutter, slightly mispronounce a word. Your right correcting mistakes was costly so unless it was a humdinger they left it. On the buses is littered with them and I love it for that 🙂

@@garyphillips006 The actor who played Arthur (Michael Robbins) I noticed had to restart his lines quite a lot, but it made it more "real", trying to think of another show that did it alot

@@joannerussell7852 I haven't actually seen On The Buses, but I didn't think anyone could beat Terry Scott for fluffing lines (Terry and June).

As a young professional (though not in the medical field), I can relate to these characters in their struggles and frustrations that come with being early on in their careers and relatively inexperienced.

almost 50 years later,, labours of doctors are still not paid according to how much they work
@englishteacher58375 жыл бұрын
You must be joking, Doctors are on huge salaries for the amount of work that do. It is us teachers that are not payed according to the work we do.

English Teacher English teacher but can't used payed correctly. Payed is used in a nautical context, this is financial therefore should be 'paid'.

@@englishteacher5837 I think you must be the one joking..no other occupations require to be on duty 24*7 other than doctors firebrigade and policeman...let alone teachers..they just work on the school hours and get paid handsomely whereas doctors be on call everyday and night no sleep and we get minimal wage and no hols

A bit boring, a drip and a bit too nicey nicey. Even Barry Evans said he didn't particularly feel it was the right role for him. I think Duncan would be more fun and adventurous

@barabara lloyd-wallis Oh,yes,I'd say! He was also the only one who wasn't just after "a bit of crumpet'',unlike Collier,Stuart-Clarke and the one played by Martin Shaw. Mind you,waring wasn't as bad as the others either. He had some respect too. In Doctor at Large,Bingham had some respect but he wasn't good looking like upton.
