Hi, I’m Dr C. Rajeswaran (known as Dr. Raj), Consultant Endocrinologist (Hormone specialist) and a Bariatric (Obesity) physician working in the UK and India. I am also serving as the Medical Director and Co-Founder of Simplyweight.

❤I total agree with eating slow as you grind your food with your teeth slow it will be easy to digest quick and up your metabolism and help you lose weight❤ thank you for this doctor I'm going to do this for next 4months and weigh myself after this

Doctor, you are a genius. My mind was on that very subject. My husband was on the night shift, which meant, that as soon as my feet hit the floor, in the morning, I was on the go. Breakfast, get kid's lunches packed, and get them off to school, put laundry in washer, feed the dog, put coffee on before husband gets up gets up, make his lunch, and start our dinner, and I always had to eat fast. Since he retired, I found myself eating fast, and decided that, it became a bad habit. Now, I eat more slowly, and less. Definitely my gut is happier, and I have totally stopped eating foods that are high in oxalates or too much protein. My kidney are thanking me.

My grandmother always told us to eat slowly and to chew the food in our mouth until it was like a porridge before swallowing. That was way back in the 1950s. I still think of her when I eat. Thank you for the information.

Thank you for the comment. That is interesting about your grandmother's eating tip. Most people eat fast due to their busy lifestyle. They are trying to eat fast to move on to their next task. Reminding people to eat slowly helps. We will have another video soon on how to eat really slowly.
