I can’t believe that they cut out the scene when he lost his sister. From the comics they did shot that scene but it didn’t make the cut. That whole scene was why he became a doctor.

They deleted a part of the story that MCU should have done personally. It was about his little sister who died many years ago. They even had the actress who was gonna play her. It's part of the comics, but the reason his life and attitude as a doctor was based on her death. The only time I ever seen Marvel tell a dark tone on him was in animated movie form.

I don't understand why they would've had to kill the guy who didn't do the ritual right. Just have him do it again...? Or have him be the unmarked misfit sidekick? He obviously supports the cause enough to try. I doubt he'll just go running off to the Ancient One cuz he didn't get a mark carved into his face.

well the drumm scene should not be taken out at all.the only reason it was remove was to created a fake tension, of we seeing this guy we never now about being murdered. the priest could follow anywhere after the ritual. the ritual i agree really breaks the flow. maybe abreviate it, but not complete remove it

It also might be because they didn't want a villain to be explicitly anti-religious, because a decent sized portion of the population does not like christians or the idea of a judea christian afterlife. I know this comment is over a year old, but he did attempt to do so. During his fight with Thanos, he blocked a blast with the mirror dimension, then pushed it towards him. Thanos obviously just destroyed the entrance, and used the Space Stone to turn it into a black hole. Dr. Strange never uses the same attack, so he didn't attempt to do it again since Thanos would probably do the same thing.

I heard Lucifer sometimes write movie scripts, i bet this is one them. Michael Assam I agree 100%, but at the same time it is the main villain of the movie who has been corrupted by evil saying this message and the priest challenged him. What I don’t like is the implication that he killed the priest and that’s probably why they cut it out of the movie.
