Doctor Who 2005 Closing Credits backdrop (mostly clean of text)

I wrote a program to compare the end credits of different episodes and piece together the background as much as possible, and this is the result. There are still visible remnants of credits text, but the vortex is much cleaner than it was, and if you were to put new text over the top of it, then hopefully the remnants wouldn't be that noticeable.

Always loved how it starts blue and ends blue, like you've been through the entire time vortex and are back at the beginning again.

You've got to appreciate how much effort was put into these titles. Almost a minute of footage and no repeating. Whereas the closing graphics we've had since has just been a repeat of the same graphics over and over again. Nothing comes close to the originality of these titles.

I honestly never thought this could be done and that we would ever get these titles clean and in high quality. But you, sir, are a genius. Thank you! Just a note, could you possibly do this to The Impossible Planet credits as those featured a few more seconds of extended graphics beyond the blue rings which I've always wanted a clean-ish copy of.

The Impossible Planet was one of the episodes I used in this, but since the text removal requires multiple episodes, and only one had the extended section, it didn't work on that part. The full version is here and you can see that the text reappears: kzbin.info/www/bejne/roLUeaKId5eCaqs

@@DoctorVision It might work to some minor extent, but the names cover most of the screen, so I doubt they expose the background enough

This is blooming "fantastic"! Thank you so much for releasing :) A question - do you think that this would be possible to do with Matt Smith's Series 5 - 7A closing titles? Also, I am involved with a Doctor Who fan series which have a variety of title sequences where clean versions are no longer available, and I am I trying to recover/reconstruct them - would you potentially be willing to help with this? No worries if not - you don't ask, you don't get! :)

It would probably work to some extent, but not as well. The background and the text aren't as contrasting, and some of the text has a heavy shadow, which this method wouldn't remove.

This is absolutely fantastic, the only thing I believe you're missing is the sort of speed lines that I think are in the original, I'm not sure if I'm thinking of later iterations though. Either way, this is a brilliant job that I have never seen recreated so perfectly.

They were there originally, but they've been mostly erased by a combination of the dust removal filter and KZbin'compression, unfortunately

Would you get a better result if you were to use 50fps versions of the credits. Because the text moves at 50fps, while the vortex moves in 25. So you would have two frames with slightly different text positions for every frame of every credits?
