I agree. Usually when a character plays a second character I always see them as the other character but during this I didn’t see her as Clara I genuinely saw her as a separate character

You're almost there. The back half of this season is why Peter Capaldi might be my favorite Doctor (either him or Eccleston). The next episode has Peter giving what I would argue is the greatest monologue in all of Doctor Who, one that is still incredibly applicable to the real world and something I regularly rewatch. And the first part of the Season Finale 2-Parter has Capaldi giving the type of performance that can/should define an actor's career.

It's such a good story, a great set up of seeing everyone crumble under the pressure with The Doctor on a plane about to die, Clara kidnapped and replaced, UNIT being seemingly taken down, it's so good. Very excited for you to see the second part 👀

13:20 if this was the series 1-4 version of UNIT, we all know those soldiers would literally have wiped out all of those zygon relatives no questions asked.

This 2 parter is so insane! And the next episode is 👌, probably some of my favorite DW episodes ever For the specials, there's 2 *Xmas specials* , the 2015 one, and the 2016 one, season 10 came out in 2017, but a spin-off called *Class* came out in 2016 instead cancelled after 8 episodes, you could watch the first episode if you want you might enjoy it :) and try not to look at the title of your next 2015 Xmas special ^^ You still have about 50 episodes to catch up, you can do it before next year's 60th anniversary! Come on, I'm sure we'd all love to see you react to these at the same time as we watch it :)

Not keen on this two parter, but damn evil zygon clara is quite sexy🤣🤣. Seriously tho, the zygons were portrayed much better and creepier in there one and only story in the classic series. Maybe its one you should check out early? Would be a fun reaction

To this day, I still don’t know what people think of this story (this episode and Inversion). I’ve seen many claim it as “BEST EPISODE EVER!!!”, yet when I ask them to explain they just mention one specific part that happens in Part 2. At a push, you may also get praise for Jenna’s performance as Evil Clara, but that’s about it. Like, they don’t even say what they thought of the other parts. I don’t know, it’s just that I’d like to truly know why people love this so much for reasons other than the one you should all know above. After all, if a story is ‘the best’ then there’s gotta be multiple great moments and very few bad/eh ones
