Amy and the Doctor had so much chemistry. I think thats why they kept adding in little flirty moments between them throughout the show. People say they're like family and Rory was supposed to be the love of Amy's life. But I strongly feel it's the other way around. Everything about how Amy talks to and acts like with the Doctor screams infatuation. There was never any heat between her and Rory. I will never understand why they chose to make them fall in love instead. There was even a scene in the episode with the vampire aliens where Amy wants the Doctor to act like her fiance, but Rory (her actual fiance) has to act like her brother cause she says it's more believable. And there are a lot more examples of this, even after they got married.
