I think the plan was to adapt the Chase as the third entry but sadly it didn't come to be. Would have been interesting to see how they tackled that considering it was more a collection of set pieces rather than a linear narrative

I think is sad that a lot of people look at toberman as the black servant character, he is arguably the hero of the story, he sacrifices himself to save everyone, and it’s a pretty big role for a black actor in 1967

Unfortunately he's only there to serve as muscle and be intimidating with next to no dialogue. If anything Toberman is portrayed as an OMAM Lennie Small-type which is really unfair on the actor who played him

While I understand how weird at first viewing them just leaving Toberman's body there is but I think it's more that since he was somewhat converted into a Cyberman they didn't want to risk messing with the body let alone bringing it back to Earth just in case since their inability to leave shit alone got most of them killed and risked a reawakened Cyberarmy being let loose (plus the implication of the cliffhanger of the Cybermat sneaking out it could've also been part of their reasoning for the later return of the Telos Cybermen with him maybe being fully converted later on)

I think it is better than "delete" tho. It shows that the cybermen exist purely because of the desperate struggle to survive. I think the breaking voice is like their emotional inhibitor glitching with the pure amount of sheer willpower the cyber men display.

It bums me out that they just left Toberman there like that. He saved all of them and was the hero of this story. I’d like to think it was because of the tightness of filming, but I can’t help but think it wasn’t that. One off characters who die saving the Doctor or other characters in modern doctor who, such as Mr Jefferson in the satan pit or the hostess in midnight, are way more likely to receive some kind of acknowledgment
