ikr, cried so much, too...started tearing up in the bit with the master, then had tears rolling down my face with "I could do so much more", and then began full-out sobbing when he was saying goodbye to everyone...and how he borrowed a pound from donna's father! :'( and then "I don't want to go"...ahh just everything ;) I love how there was this big dramatic stand-ff, but then he died for such a personal, selfless thing...so like 10 ;) xx

well, yes. But as in currently in the show. River, the Doctor, and the Master(if he survived the whole explosion thing in one of the more recent movies. The other timelords who are/ if they are alive can't travel in time because they are in the middle of the time war. And it's time locked. So they can't leave. :/

yessss but the master sent them back to the little bubble or wherever they were. and since he went WITH them, they can't get back. At least not in theory. They were sort of using the master as a homing beacon. (which is a weird way of putting it)
