@@GothAtheist All the rest of NuWho is on Max. I think it would all move over there. Bad Wolf has done a bunch of work with HBO on shows like His Dark Materials and Industry, so they already have a relationship, and it would seem an obvious fit. HBO don't have nearly as extensive an international presence as Disney though - for countries that don't have Max, it would probably revert to whoever was broadcasting the show before Disney got involved.

It is so wonderful to hear that you have expressed the sentiment that new writers are needed for the future of DW. In a couple of my previous comments, I noted that RTD has run out of innovative ideas and his recent attempts have been either duds or feel very forced. While there were highlights for Disney+ S1, overall, it was not a big hit. To draw in a new audience, you need to have a strong introduction and a thread of continuity and RTD did not deliver.

On a more serious note, they might show a more historically correct version of the Nativity with Mary and Joseph being of African ancestry, which is something I could see Ncuti really being in favour of doing. After all, he included his own ancestral background in the carvings on his Doctor's sonic screwdriver.

Could Jo Martin also be in Between the Land and the Sea. I'm not sure of filming schedules/locations. Could there be a cross over episode between the I don't keep up with these things. I feel a fit in between number 2 and 3 doctors would be a mistake but A timeless child story / Doctors family story arc would be good to clear up somethings. Depending on when Series 2/15 completes airing and contractual details are sorted presumably The Christmas 2025 special will also have to be sorted for filming to begin. I feel also in future it would be good for Big finish / Bad wolf writing / story lines to be more closely connected. Could give inspiration for any possible future series.

Actually think if disney didnt recommit-ion doctor who then that would be a bad thing if it allows a more suitable international distributor to come in. It fits in with someone like amazon prime much better, netflix would be the best fit if it wasn’t for the binge watch strategy they use.

The nativity thing could be controversial, as you say. If it is disrespectful in anyway, it could be seen as trying to have your cake and eat it too. Not to mention that Boom got a bit of stick for it's Anglicanism critique. Although I think it could also be read as an oblique defense of Anglicanism and a subtle critique of a different religion.

Anglican criticism was already visible in Matt Smith's era, if people weren't offended then why now? But don't worry about Jesus, I think it will be a one second joke, like "Oh your son is cute, what's his name?" “We called him Jesus, we hoped he would be a great man” “Oh, ok, bye!” and bam he goes through another door and arrives at another time event. It would be weird if the birth of Jesus was important in the episode I think

Ngl, we need more stuff like the 3rd Doctor, John Pertwee. Matt Smith was the last Pertwee-Style Doctor, he was brilliant, but we don't have enough. And another 7th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy, style Doctor. We need things that stop continuously looking backwards, and start looking forward again, doing new things that haven't happened before, instead of constantly trying to bring back stuff from the past, and those two Doctors exemplify that, they never really looked back, only forward, and their styles were more worldly and well traveled, instead of being whiney or vain or blah. Matt Smith's 11th Doctor was great for the same reason, he mostly moved forward, he mostly experienced new things, new places, with only slight nods to the past, rather than the current trend of being consumed by it. Say what you will about Jodie Whittaker's 13th Doctor, but she did the same, all new things, new places, new ideas. Ncuti seems to just drudge up the past a lot. And we need less Russel and more Moffat, Moffat should be overseeing the new writers, so that they can nail down how the show should work.

They released a colourised version of The Daleks last year; besides they probably want to show a regeneration from 2 to 3, as we don’t see this occurring and this is the only precedent that no regeneration was shown for Classic Who, also to update it to the New Who regen look, to keep it uniform.
