Met Mr Levene the other day, sweetest man ever. Gave me four kisses on both cheeks, numerous hugs and hilarious stories. I felt as if I've known him forever. Can't wait to see him again next year!

Having watched the classic series out of order (essentially, I jumped in with Tom Baker's era and first worked my way forwards, then backwards) and therefore being able to recognize Benton immediately in car at 0:23, I feel like my initial reaction to that scene might have been a little different than what the writers had probably intended, lol. Instead of "Oh no, the Doctor's being followed by mysterious people! Is he going to be okay!?", it was more like "Yippee, UNIT's here! Save your energy and stop running, Doctor; you're among friends!"

3:48-I think that's from the Time Monster, a great moment was when The Master imitated the Brigadiers voice over the phone but screwed up on how he'd talk. So for once, not even the Doctor did this, but frigging BENTON had the drop on the Master, shoulda blown him away too.

What episodes are Older Benton? I love John Benton, hes a loyal and unsung hero, definitely dedicated to his duty. I wish he had more of a chance to confront Yates after Yates betrayed UNIT and gain answers about the betrayal for himself like how Sonny Crockett dealt with Scottie betraying him in Miami Vice.

i met John Levene at mcm expo. he was lovely =D gave me a fiver off his autograph, told me a funny story about the photo he was signing and was really great about the fact that my friend had no idea who he was.

@@julietfischer5056 Benton's status as a car salesman was brought up in "Mawdryn Undead" when the Fifth Doctor and the Brigadier were catching up. Yates's adventures with the Fourth Doctor take place in a series from BBC Audio; now, being an actual BBC production, it could be considered canon to the T.V. series more legitimately than something from Big Finish.

'Wartime', and I suspect you need a friend in the UK to send you a copy. That's how I got hold of 'Downtime' and 'Daemos Rising' (Kate Stewart vs the Great Intelligence, and then a Daemon).
