It might be due to the 60s influence which Scooby Doo mystery incorporated also took but... the Maestro's theme sounds like something that would come right out of Mystery Incorporated.

Personally I think she reflected on her own inner sadness to make this song, this theme often plays in scenes concerning her birth parents and abandonment.
