Christopher Eccleston was my first Doctor and i felt sad when he left but when Tennant did i was sadder for sure and it did suck but unlike so many others at the time i actually gave Matt Smith a fair shot when he started cause you can have your favourite and it hurts to lose them but always remember the show is forever changing and who knows the next doctor you might like too. Matt Smith knocked it out of the park in his first episode for me and later on Peter Capaldi also did. While i didnt fully connect with Jody i appreciated her and just wished the writing was better but she really connected with kids

Well you don't to remember that other than Doctor number 13, every single Doctor remembers everything. It's literally just changing the looks and personalities. The memories, events, and core beliefs are the exact same. The only differences are minor at the very start. It's like Playing an RPG where, where part way through the game, the doctor decides to go from one set of choices to switch it up and go down a different set of choices. But all the past choices of that character still exists and is remember, just making new choices. The split really comes later, when the new personality gets to make those choices. Then you see that the Doctors are each different in their own ways, but ultimately the same being. So it isn't really a 'Death', tho most people think it is. It's more like pushing a Personality reset on an AI. Nothing special, and just takes a little bit to get used to the switch.

Tennant is the reason I'm now obsessed with this show. I sat through a marathon during the pandemic and that was it. He's my favorite Doctor and always will be, but every one of these actors has been amazing, IMO. Eccleston saved this show, Tennant was iconic, Smith was the most fun and once the Doctor accepted his actions in the Time War, Capaldi was the complete Doctor - that man was born for this role. I can't comment on Jodie Whittaker until I finish her whole story arc, but you'll not find me abandon this show based on an actress or change of writing. It's strength pushes past that.

David Tennant was my first doctor. I used to watch a Canadian series called the red green show, one day I had to record it since I was attending a party and when I watched it it also caught the beginning of another show called Doctor Who. After I looked it up and watched a few episodes I instantly fell in love even though I was confused since Christopher Eckleson was the first doctor of the rebooted series. By the time I got to David Tennant I knew the show was made for me. Then came the end of time and when he uttered the words “I don’t want to go” I legit broke down crying in front of my family. I cried myself to sleep and felt empty alone and depressed for a least a week. 😭

The 'Reward' sequence is even more impactful after Death of the Doctor (the 3rd story of the Sarah Jane Adventures 4th season, featuring Jo Grant and the 11th Doctor) reveal that he went back to check on everyone who'd ever traveled with him. Also, if you read the magazine Doctor Who adventures, during this year the comic strip had a few original companions since there wasn't anyone from the show, and the last issue that was made before the magazine switched to the Eleventh Doctor, was of the Doctor's goodbye to those companions.
@jcurses2 жыл бұрын
Two fun trivia facts (Warning - Spoilers) In an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures titled “Death of the Doctor” Matt Smith’s incarnation explained that while he didn’t make his appearance known, he went and visited every one of his former companions. So his reward was to see all of his friends throughout all of his lives thrive and know they were safe. For the Captain Jack scene it’s sort of random that he’s in a space bar unless you watched Torchwood. This takes place after the 3rd season where Jack has lost his confidant and lover Ianto and had to sacrifice his grandson to defeat a race of aliens that were demanding a large portion of the population’s children. With everyone but one member on the team dead and his daughter hating him he decides to leave Earth. Figured I would provide some context there.

Only issue with Sarah bit was majority of people in video, skipped that bit, so not much to work with, so for pacing and not to dehydrate audience, I decided to move on from that bit. I've got clips ready for 11th regen except for the cheque geeks, who inspired me to do these things in first place (their video taken down by BBC). So kinda font wanna do it lol. Funny thing here is, Tennant is the only Doctor that got his own regeneration theme. And no, I don't mean from the show. I mean the **ood**. They sing telepathically, so the Doctor was actually able to hear what we were while he regenerated.

I've only dons a few reactions on here as wasn't impressed myself but definitely worth watching the reactions to THAT cameo (fugitive of the Jadoon). I was even applauded by @latetotheparty11 by warning them to stay off social media and didn't give game away in thumbnail! But then I did one for the timeless children... Still worth a watch for some random tweaks I put in! ;)

it's a massive pain that the doctor had after saving the universe.
@Gothamsgamer2 жыл бұрын
Looking back it was necessary for 10 to regenerate, toward the end of his series the tenth doctor was going insane, almost to master preposition with the spiel on the timelord victorious and how the laws of time were his and how they will obey him, feeling like he was god and mattered the most, hell he even was hesitant to let out wilf, he wasn't the survivor he was the winner. He could do so much more. He became dangerous and he lived too long. Though he didn't want to go he had to, for the sake of the universe

nonsense He didn't hesitate to save Wilfred and that's exactly what made him enraged. if the four knocks was done by Master or any other time lord or another enemy, he had accepted that it's his end and he can't prevent it. when it turned out to be none but Wilfred being trapped, he knew that this is it. because no way he would let the man die and walk away and the prophecy didn't turn out what he can or even wants to fight against. and the nonsense about lived too long, he basically just lived 6 years, hardly even a decade while other doctors lived centuries and decades.

Ahh yes, the endless cycle of hating the new Doctor for 4-5 episodes until you love them nearly as much as the last. Happened every single time for me, except for Jodie's. Even after her entire first season I wanted Capaldi back, but that was more because of the shows dogshit writing after Season 10.
