There’s this emperor, and he asks the shepherd’s boy how many seconds in eternity. And the shepherd’s boy says, ‘There’s this mountain of pure diamond. It takes an hour to climb it and an hour to go around it, and every hundred years a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on the diamond mountain. And when the entire mountain is chiseled away, the first second of eternity will have passed.’ You may think that’s a hell of a long time. I was reading an old book, as you do by Hendrick Willem van Leon, the story of mankind, published in 1921. Spotted something familiar in the opening page. High up in the North in the land called Svithjod, there stands a rock. It is a hundred miles high and a hundred miles wide. Once every thousand years a little bird comes to this rock to sharpen its beak. When the rock has thus been worn away, then a single day of eternity will have gone by.

@@BornaMatosic saw the chalk board your violinist Sarah I believe you said her name was dress changed (thought possible clue or just different day) but thought clue because the scenery flips back and forth as well to what looks like the 11th Dr. episode. The kill Hitler one where they found River Song. The background looks like that scene and the dress reminded me of Amy's dress. But then saw behind you in the diamond wall around your head to the right what looks like scratched 11 so was thinking probably something from there. Who knows 😁

Other hidden things: The other chalkboard scene holds a code that reveals the answer to question #3! There is a monitor in one scene that mostly shows static but sometimes shows Sarah playing violin. Clara‘s Theme can be heard in the background at the beginning of the song. The soprano at the very end sings „Vale Duodecim“, a reference to Vale Decem.

It was interesting hearing vocals in this piece. That's definitely a unique spin as far as covers go. And the production design is great. 2:06 - I like the detail of having Sarah on the screen. Ooh, you've set me the challenge of finding clues again. 0:18 - I did try and work out if the numbers meant anything but the Dalek, I'm guessing means the next piece is 'The Dark and Endless Dalek Night'? ... Hold on a moment. Bad Wolf Bay... 'Doomsday' That would also explain the Dalek. I've got it. The musical references were very difficult to find though. 4:37 - I don't know if that's a reference to some of the unreleased, dramatic vocal music used in 'World Enough and Time' and 'The Doctor Falls'. What was the other reference, or the two other references if that wasn't one? There are bits that are slightly different to the original but I'm just taking it all as your own adaptation of this one piece.
@BornaMatosic5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I chose to have vocals since the original has none, even though this type of singing is quite common in other Doctor Who songs. I‘m glad you noticed that detail with Sarah on the screen. I think I spent about two hours putting that in and making sure it‘s in sync with the music lol! Great work figuring out the Dalek and numbers to arrive at the correct conclusion: Doomsday it is!! :) Looks like the musical references are indeed harder to figure out than the visual clue! I actually thought the first reference would be spotted early, but so far nobody noticed it. It‘s one of those things, when you notice them, it‘s like they were hiding in plain sight! :D But the second reference is actually hard to spot and quite.. abstract. I‘ll give you a hint about where to look! You can focus on the first and last 30 seconds of the song. Turn up your speakers or try headphones and listen for the details! :D Thanks for your comment and playing the clues game! :)

Good guess, I agree it has a similar vibe! You’re in the right place, but that‘s not what I‘m after. I‘ll give you these hints: Listen closely to the last 30 seconds of the song. But don‘t listen for melodies. Listen for words! (It‘s not a theme, but it references a major plot point.) Good luck! 😂
