Peter Capaldi was, in fact, what I was waiting for Doctor Who: a strange looking Doctor, looking older than 35 at least, following the same pattern as all the Doctors before David Tennant, in all his beautiful glory I have to say, appeared in the show. Just watching these few seconds of him made me remember my first, and most favourite, Doctor: Christopher Eccleston (the 9th), along with Tom Baker (the 4th). I really, REALLY want to see this Doctor in action.
