The start of the Chibnall Doctor Who, where interesting storytelling is replaced with real world social issues. The head writer Chibnall didn't understand that a majority of viewers enjoyed the fun escapism provided by the series. Chibnall changed the show into a Doctor Who themed drama, focused on social issues that viewers previously enjoyed not having shoved down their throats for 45 minutes once a week.
