I just realized this, but when the Doctor and Master are talking, you hear "This is Gallifrey" in the background.

You also get touches of it when they first meet and Professor Yana excitedly rushes 10 into the lab.

I must say that what Dr Who needs is more Actors like this, professional theatre performers instead of the hot flavour of the month having a part in doctor who just because they are famous at the moment. Standards are required to make Dr Who a success instead of aquiring people due to them being a one off musician or some reality star which Dr Who Directors seem to keep insisting on casting such people.

It's so tragic to see what the Master could have become if his life had taken a different turn.

That's why this is one of the saddest episodes to me. If he never had the drums, never been driven insane by the schism and the never ending noise he could've turned out almost exactly like the Doctor.

@@maxredjasper55 blame rassilon, i specifically remember him saying they genetically program it into master of the drums.
@pumpkingamebox4 жыл бұрын
@@thehantavirus Rassilon didn't know the academy drop out, the failure of the timelord himself, The Doctor would save Gallifrey. So he had to take action. What is the sanity of one man when Victory over the war for the Glory of the Sont... I mean the Gallifreyan empire? It is nothing. The funny thing is. If the Master has never heard the drums, he would perish with the rest of them. And if Rassilon chose a different boy or girl, they would become the Master nonetheless. As the show would say. The Master's existence is a fixed point in time.

Right?! I hope sometime in the future the Master works on redeeming themself more and we get more scenes like this. You could see the childhood happiness coming out with the Doctor. So adorable and heartbreaking

Who else liked the Master as a good guy? I want to see an evil Doctor...
@maxredjasper554 жыл бұрын
That would be amazing and scary! If the Doctor ends up in a parallel universe where their counterpart is evil and the Master is good.

0:04. Wow. How did no one find this guy? He's walking around baring his teeth at random moments and snarling. You'd think someone'd catch on.

@LeapingLeptons42 We already did. John Smith. Notice how him and Yana differ. If that isn't good enough, then try Waters of Mars. :)
