RTD would absolutely cast someone called Susan Twist in a Susan twist.

What I figured is that she's someone who knows what a TARDIS is, but didn't realise that the police box on the pavement was a TARDIS until it dematerialised in front of her (the scene where she drops her shopping bags). So, someone familiar with the technology, but who didn't recognise the doctor's TARDIS. Which rules out the Rani, Master, Susan and lots of others from the last 60 years!

Honestly my favourite theory so far is that she is an older Ruby, keeping an eye on her younger self, I really love that idea so that is my theory! Especially since if you notice Ruby and Mrs Flood have the same eye colour, now that could JUST be a coincidence but it is interesting to note but who knows... anything is possible!

Mrs Food could be absolutely anyone at this stage. I suspect when we find out, we will be confused, disappointed or cross, what with the way 'Arty D' is approaching Dr Who these days.

i think she's a new character. if she knew the doctor, i don't think she would (1) be confused/cross about a police box appearing on her street (2) be surprised to see it vanish (this happens when he goes back to save baby Ruby) (3) ask him who he is. i'm guessing she's a timelord/gallifreyan who knows the tech and is hiding out on Earth.

Mrs Flood’s real identity is bleeding obvious. She is Romana/Susan/The Rani/The Doctors Daughter/ Rose/ The Doctors Mother. Probably.

I’d love the trickster to be involved with ruby somehow, like how sky in sja would have been influenced by the trickster since her birth, or have the trickster in series 15 where *Spoilers* ruby’s love interest is on the verge of death and he then begs for another chance in life, something to do with the trickster trying to get close to the doctor

I have a theory on who Mrs. Flood is. I think Mrs. Flood is an original character made by RTD, that is put there most likely by Ruby's mother to look after Ruby. I think Mrs. Flood is a powerful being that can shapeshift and has a high knowledge of the universe. (like knowing what a Tardis is.)

Maybe we will go multiverse and Mrs. flood is an Alternate Doctor that traveled in a Tardis that didn’t have a broken Chameleon circuit.

Oh, so Ncuti said he'd love to see the Rani? Then she must be the Rani! 😱 Unrelated question: remember when Capaldi said he'd love to see the Doctor reuniting with his granddaughter before his season started, and everyone assumed Maisie Williams played Susan? What happened with that? 🧐🤔

Honestly, the biggest thing about this whole mystery is the fact that Mrs flood BROKE THE FOURTH WALL when she spoke to us. I could be wrong but I don't think that has ever happened before in Doctor Who and absolutely NOBODY has mentioned it that I'm aware of.

4th doctor broke it a bit before, and (while this is a stretch) you coooould count Colin Bakers first lines as one since he looks right into the camera "And it seems not a moment too soon"

@@palisade32 i forget the episode title (it's been a while for me aswell) but there are clips online from it where he looks right at the camera "even the sonic screwdriver won't get me out of this one...". Also, while looking for the title, i realize i completely forgot that Capaldi explained the bootstrap paradox to the audience in the episode "Before the Flood"

I can't keep but think of "the flood" as the monster in The Waters of Mars. I don't think it's related, but they're both RTD, so the same name only 3 episodes (of his) apart has my brain buzzing a bit.

@@DoctorWhoManiaProductions23 you're right-- I miscounted. It's 6, not 3. But it's still an episode from the end of his last run, and now the first full episode with his new doctor. It's just weird to use the same name. He doesn't do things like that by accident, usually. I can't imagine that he forgot about The Waters of Mars.

She's definitely a Time Lord otherwise how does she know a bout the TARDIS and she said "a" TARDIS" not "the" TARDIS so that tells me she's a Time Lord that I'd be happy with a new Time Lord for a change rather than "The Master" or "The Rani" or "The Monk".
