Foi um dos melhores filmes que vi na minha vida e têm uma composições mais bonitas,como dos outros grandes clássicos. É um filme que vai ficar na memória da gerações para sempre

This story was classic, the film amazing, and the music brings you into another time and place. I saw it when it first came out as a kid. It was girls' night mom, aunt, cousins and grandmother. Although then I didn't fully understand the nuances of the story I was in awe at it's beauty. Have seen it at least 10 times over the years and grown with it.
@peterplotts123816 күн бұрын
It came out the year I was born. I cant be sure when I saw it the first time - between 1967 and 1970, probably. It triggered a life-long interest in Russia, its history, culture, literature and language. My wife thought she was my Tonya, but ever was she Lara to me.

I just happened on this again and your tribute still moves me. He is greatly missed. What a guy. if only all the world and everyone in it was as international and accepting as he. We'd be a better planet. Married to a Jewish woman and the proud father of a guy child and loved dearly and equally. Good role model for the rest of us on earth.

I have the original album, original soundtrack unsurpassed. Original movie the best, at age 13 and now in my 60's. remains probably the best movie in my time, it is the Gone with the Wind of my generation
@Deebz2703 жыл бұрын
On the flipside of sixty myself, I couldn't agree more. One of my mother's favourites and I have to say, though before my history lessons took me back to the early 20th century - October Revolution and on to the Soviet era, a story and cinema classic that has and will remain indelibly printed on my soul.

One of my faves too -- I was of the generation that saw it in theaters on a very wide screen. I read the book, and a few years later read Nicholas and Alexandra by Robert Massie and that clinched my interest in Russian art, lit and culture and at age 73 it still interests me. We were able to go to St. Petersburg about 7 years ago and had an absolutely marvelous time.

Been looking for this years now! Thank you! Is there a stereo release of this LP?
@Aeonterbor9 жыл бұрын
+Erina Papaspyrou I'm going to make the assumption that there is a stereo version out there since there were many records in the sixties that also had stereo versions released; it just so happens the version I had was the Mono version, the only other Dr Zhivago Record I have managed to add to my collection is the original music from the film.
@keithlogan97057 жыл бұрын
If the LP is still in good condition, I suggest adding a record deck to your music setup.. CDs with their limited high frequency range do not do this music justice. I had this proven to me when my sister played a CD of Nana Mouskouri then played the same song on a record.

There's a British connection also the Pasternaks of Oxford some ancestors are still alive. The surname Pasternak is Ukrainian and not Russian yes they were Jewish but to hide their true thoughts became Christian.

I have this soundtrack and I don't know why but it sounds horrible. Not the music but the recording. It sounds flat almost as if it is in mono. I've had previous versions which sounded much better to the ear.
@Aeonterbor9 жыл бұрын
MGR1900 Well you almost got it, This is in fact an original 1960's Mono copy of the album, back in the day records like this would usually be released in both Stereo and Mono due to not many people having Stereo machines so if they tried to play a Stereo record on their Mono machines it would only play one side of the song (and trust me that sounds terrible) so Mono adapted versions like this were a good solution to the problem.
@MGR19009 жыл бұрын
