I guarantee you. The director of this game and MVC3 is absolutely NOT the reason this game isn't getting a sequel. More like the licensing rights would probably be a fucking nightmare and it probably would've made more sense during the 2010's when Tatsunoko was getting a lot of new anime projects to old series like Casshern and Gatchaman made.

I just realized that when they do a Hyper Combo, they're transported to an abandoned rock quarry with a green screen background like in the old tokusatsu shows. Reminded me so much of Shaider 😂

MvC3 and Infinite also have a weaker aerial Darkness Illusion ender. But, that can also be said for other Capcom VS. games.

2:05 You forgot one Hyper Combo from Tekkaman: The Spinning Tek Lancer 7:06 The level 3 of Tekkaman Blade can be triggered without hitting the force field, unleashing just a big laser 7:31 if you do it so close to the opponent, it has another animation 13:52 Alex has another Hyper Bomb. You need to grab the opponent from its back and he does 5 hits. 14:19 you can follow up the super guts uppercut with an aerial combo 16:27 Soki can do the flaming sword while he's in his transformation. 18:05 Viewtiful Joe has 3 poses at the end of this Level 3 Hyper combo.

Yatterman 2 can deal more damage with level 3 if you mash the buttons. Ippatsuman's level 3 charging can be interrupted if you jump and hit the crystal on his robot's chest. Viewtiful Joe can combo Cannon after Level 3. Ryu can extend Level 3 with ground combos after a buffered light tatsu into crouch medium. (Corner only) Roll does increased damage if you do the scrubber super on top of a puddle she made. More bubbly. Also gives her a damage buff that persists the whole match.

This is why I prefer this game over Marvel because of how oddball these character choices are. Especially current Marvel with Disney. I had no clue who 90% of the Tatsunoko roster was but it made me check it out and appreciate them, a bit weird on the random explosion nudity but I still. Most of the Capcom supers were never used in MVC3 or MVCI, making this game very unique and stand out. I know its impossible to renew the license, but maybe in the future something will happen, we got Super Mario RPG remake, UMVC3 is back on the market. Never say never.

I'd like to see a video where each of the characters hyper combo lines are translated to English, because as far as I know, there is no video on what the characters are saying during their hyper combos on KZbin. The only ones I can figure out are Zero's ("Checkmate! It's over!) and Chun-li's level 3 ("You ready for this?/Prepare yourself! Seven Star Flashing Air Leg!") It would be cool to understand what each character including the tatsunoko characters are saying.

When this game was announced did anyone know who Tatsunoku was? To me this seemed like the most out there idea for a crossover. I get teaming up with Marvel and SNK those are two recognizable brands with memorable characters. But until I discovered this game, which was a few years ago I NEVER heard of this company.

I was aware of some of the characters. Mainly the G-Force / Battle of the Planets ones, but not the company as a whole. I remember when it was announced and thinking it was a total "WTF" choice. I wish it hadn't been Wii-exclusive, but it's a fun game. We wouldn't have gotten MVC3 without it.

Seriously. If they don't want to do the licensing, just do "Capcom vs Capcom". They have enough of their own IP to make a game with all the VS mechanics and a huge roster.

And, Capcom always learns the wrong lessons from their supposed "failures" so they think people just don't want an all Capcom crossover game instead of admitting that people want one but they didn't give the "Capcom Fighting Evolution" crew enough time and money to make one that doesn't suck.
