Ive been burned by rest mode before. Had it in rest mode while I was at a concert and at some point while I was gone the power had gone off. Screwed something up and I had to system reset and I lost all my save data. 100+ plus hours on some games just gone.

Rest mode consumes 40W with all restmode settings off and 65W with all settings on and 0.5W - 2W when powered off . I always use a power brick to charge my ps5 instead of using ps5 to charge my controllers . I only put mine in restmode if I’m going away for less than 15minutes . And power fluctuations / power outages can corrupt your device if it’s not fully powered off .
